I was at the game where John hit 1000 games, I couldn't be more proud of him. Even though the leafs lost, he still had a huge smile on his face.
When he came out of the locker room, he put his hands on my hips and pulled me into a kiss.
Once we pulled away he placed his forehead on mine, I said "I'm so proud of you baby." He smiled at me and said "I love you y/n, thanks for everything you've done in this relationship."
He gave me another kiss and I said "you're welcome John, I love you too."
He smiled and grabbed my hand, we headed to the locker room for the post game talk even though they lost.
His coaches and teammates had so many kind things to say about John, once they finished talking about him.
John said "cmon baby, let's go home and watch some Tv, while we cuddle and eat snacks." I giggled at his child-like behavior and we headed back to the house, he said "Dance with me?"
I said "John it's raining, do you want to get sick after playing 1000 games?" He shook his head and said "I wanna dance with my girlfriend though! Can you do it for me please?"
He gave me puppy dog eyes and I can't say no to them, I said "fine just because you're cute." He held his hand out and we danced in the rain for a while.
He said "baby, you're getting cold. Let's go inside, take hot showers and cuddle while watching movies."
I smiled and said "I like this side of you Johnny, it makes me feel so safe." He smiled and kissed my temple, he said "I like this part of my self too baby." We headed inside and went to go take our showers.
Once I finished mine, I changed into one of his t-shirts and a pair of shorts. I headed downstairs and saw John sitting on the couch with a blanket fort made for the both of us.
I said "John what are you doing?" He said "I'm waiting for you to come and cuddle with me, come on baby." He pulled me into the fort and I laid down on his chest.
He put his arms around my waist and we stayed like that for a while a movie played softly in the background.
He kissed my forehead and said "I love you Y/n, thank you for being here throughout my NHL career." I smiled and said "you're welcome John, I'm glad I got to witness this experience with you."
He smiled and said "come on babe, let's go to bed, I'll carry you upstairs." He carried me upstairs bridal style and laid me down on our bed.
He got in bed beside me and I laid my head on his lap. He played with my hair and I said "I love you John so much." He said "I love you too baby."
We had a conversation and I ended up falling asleep on his lap. He moved my head to his chest and said "sleep tight baby I love you." I felt him Kiss my head and he fell asleep afterwards.
I felt like the luckiest woman in the world.
