"Well this is an unexpected surprise" His smug tone sent tingles down my spine,

"You've got to be kidding me" I groaned, pulling the duvet over my head.

"That's not a very nice welcome Gracie" Lucifer laughed "Especially considering last time you saw me I saved you and your play thing" I hadn't actually thanked him for that so I suddenly felt embarrassed.

"I should thank you for that" I replied sleepily "but what the hell are you doing in my head?"

"I know a how you can show me your thanks" he smirked leaning against the bedroom doorframe, I rolled my eyes.

"You can get that idea out of your head right now" I demanded, he held his hands up in surrender.

"Okay" he laughed "but you must miss me a little bit, otherwise how am I here"

"I don't know" I groaned "I don't know how this dream shit works"

"You're letting me in Grace" he smiled "You must be thinking about me......is that why you're not with Crowley down South?"

"I'm definitely not thinking about you" I snapped "Me and Crowley are fine thank you....I just wanted out of hell"

"Surely if you're with the man you love it shouldn't feel like hell" he teased,

"It's none of your business Luci" I snapped again,

"It's a nice place you have here anyway" I continued, pushing off from the doorframe and strolling towards your living room, "I might pop by"

"The hell you will" I hissed, rushing after him

"And now I can because you've just allowed me into the living where this lovely view tells me exactly where you are" he chuckled "I thought you'd have learnt by now" of course I'd just allowed him to see the rest of the apartment, forgetting I was in control.

I wasn't thinking straight, what Lucifer had said about me letting him in had mashed my brain. Had I been thinking about him? Not intentionally anyway.

"It's warded anyway" I told him "You won't be able to get in"

"Darling you forget I'm not a demon" he chuckled "I'm an angel"

"Than I'll ward it against angels too" I said desperately

"Good luck with that" he chuckled "by the looks of these symbols though your boyfriend won't be getting in here"

"He will, I've made sure of it" I defended and turned to walk back to my room,

"If you say so" he smirked "Just admit you've missed me a little bit" he whispered, suddenly right behind me, his breath making the hair on my neck stand on end. I couldn't move, couldn't breath with him so close. It was the first time I had felt like this around him since the bond broke. He must have more control in the dream than I thought. That's what I told myself anyway.

"Goodnight Lucifer" I told him, ignoring what had just happened. He didn't respond, or if he did, I didn't hear him.

I woke up to my phone ringing. It was Dean....again. I rolled my eyes and turned over, ignoring the ringtone, it rang again straight away. Shit...must be an emergency I thought and quickly answered the phone.

"Hello?" I answered

"Grace?" He asked, sounding surprised that I answered.

"Yes Dean that's who you've called" I sighed annoyed,

"I know I just didn't expect you to pick up, I've been calling for days and...." he rambled

"What do you want Dean?" I interrupted

"It's Sam" he told me "He's not well"

"What do you mean he's not well?" I asked, panic and concern evident in my voice.

"He's been drinking Demon blood" he whispered,

"He's been what!!!" I hissed "What the hell Dean!"

"I know,  he promised he wouldn't do it again, I didn't know he was back on it" he rambled again,

"He's done it before?!" I exclaimed "and you didn't tell me?"

"It was before we knew you" he explained "He got hooked on it but we got him clean, me and your Dad" he paused "I can't do this again on my own"

"Where are you?" I sighed, he needed me.

"I'm outside a motel, I've been tailing him" he confessed "I'll text you the address"

I jumped in my car and drove to meet Dean. The car was new too, I figured I would need one once I decided to live on my own. It was a red mustang.

"Nice wheels" Dean exclaimed as I pulled up beside him.

"Come on lets ditch the Impala" I suggested "He'll recognise it" I didn't like the fact we were acting like nothing had happened, but now wasn't the time to talk.

I followed Dean to a layby, he tucked the Impala behind an overgrown bush and we threw some undergrowth over to hide it a little better.

Dean climbed in the passenger seat and we drove in silence back to the motel, the air was thick with everything we didn't say.

"Grace I...." Dean started

"Shit!" I exclaimed, Dean stopped whatever he was about to say and looked around,

"You've got to be kidding me" he groaned, Sam's truck was gone, and so was he.

"Where do you think he'd have gone?" I asked

"God knows!" he yelled frustrated,

"He can't have gone far Dean we were only gone 20 minutes" I tried to reassure him

"We don't even know what direction he went in" Dean groaned "Face it Grace we lost him"

"I'm not giving up yet" I said determined, "Wait here" Dean did as he was told whilst I headed for the Motel reception and convinced the manager to let me watch the CCTV of the carpark. I knew which was Sam had gone, and I knew he wasn't alone.

I got back in the car and put it in drive,

"He's headed this way" I told Dean "He had a girl with him?"

"Let me guess...blonde...petite....boy hair cut?" He asked, I nodded "Ruby" he groaned

"Who's Ruby?" I asked

"She's the demon that got him hooked last time" he explained.

"Well that's good news at least" I replied

"How is any of that good news?" Dean asked

"I happed to have the King of Hell on Speed Dial" I smiled "He'll know where the demon is"
