*****************Lucifer's POV*********************

Sam clung to my shoulder as we teleported to the location we were given.

"Can you sense her?" Sam asked as we stealthily approached the barn and took cover in some trees to observe.

"No" I whispered, "but if it's warded I wouldn't be able to"

"Is it warded?" he asked

"I can't tell" I replied frustrated "I'm not exactly operating at full capacity"

"So what now?" Sam asked

"I guess we wait and observe" I sighed, feeling totally helpless "Anything from the others?" Sam shook his head. I tried so hard to feel something, anything around the barn. But all I could feel was guilt and pain, it was clouding everything else.

We were crouched in the trees for what felt like hours. But really it was only 10 minutes before Sam got a call from Dean.

"Which location?" he asked, and my heart began to pound. Had they found her.

"What is it?" I asked as soon as he ended the call

"Charlie called, they've found her" he told me, my hand flew to my mouth as I let out a sob.

"Is she ok?" I asked,

"We don't know yet Lucifer" Sam replied "they're waiting for us all to get there before they go in, we don't know what we're up against"

"Let's go" I nodded "what was their location"

"Are you sure you're up to this?" Sam asked "You can't get emotional and make hasty decisions, that could put us all at risk"

"I know" I nodded "I've got this", he looked reluctant but eventually told me the location and we rushed to meet the others.

They were waiting in a similarly secluded spot, hatching a plan to infiltrate the barns defenses.

"What are we dealing with?" Sam asked

"Angel warding" Cas told us, "They've warded against Arch Angels to keep you out Lucifer"

As if I didn't feel helpless enough already.....Now I was expected to stand and watch!

"Me and Cas will take the back" Sam suggested "Dean and Crowley you go heavy from the front"

"I'll be damned if I'm gonna sit here and watch that demon scum rescue my daughter without me" I hissed

"You haven't got a choice feathers" Crowley chuckled "Now pick your toys up and lets focus on what's really important here. Because it sure as hell isn't your ego"

I was about to say something back when Sam caught my eye, telling me to remember his warning. I bit me tongue and had to walk away before I did something I regretted.

A few minutes later Charlie walked over,

"Come on you need to be ready if they manage to take the warding down" she told me, I nodded and followed.

"We have to get her back Charlie" I whispered

"We will Lucifer" she reassured me,

I heard her cry out in pain and Charlie tried to hold me back as I ran for the barn.

I could hear the clashing of angel blades and battle cries as other men fought for my daughter. It killed me not being able to get to her. To be this close but relying on others to rescue her.

What sort of father did that make me, relying on humans and demons to take care of my daughter.

I was never going to let anything happen to her again, I couldn't feel like this again.

Out of nowhere there was a huge explosion, and I was thrown back to where Charlie was standing, landing on my back as all I could do was watch fire engulfing the rest of the barn.

"Lily" I screamed, rushing back to the entrance of the barn, enough of the warding still intact, stopping me getting in. "Lily!" I cried again.

"Dad" I heard her yell, she sounded so scared, so helpless. I felt like I was being torn apart. I needed to go to her.

I saw a figure in the flames rush towards me, I had a shimmer of hope until Sam pushed through the smoke.

"Where is she!?" I demanded, shaking him.

"I'm sorry Lucifer" he coughed "I can't see anything in there. Did Dean get out?"

I shook my head and his eyes widened as he turned to go back in,

"Dean" he yelled, trying to push me off as Charlie grabbed the other side of him.

"They're still in there" Sam cried, coughing on the sut he'd inhaled.

"Sam look" Charlie yelled, as Castiel limped out of the barn, a semi-conscious Dean slumped against him. They rushed to lay Dean down as I desperately searched flames for any signs of my daughter.

"Lily" I called, needing her to reply. Desperate to hear her voice.

Suddenly out of the flames, Crowley emerged. Angel blade in each hand, Lily slung limp over his shoulder.

"I've got her" he told me, as he allowed me to lift her from him, we lay he on the floor and I smoothed out he hair. Her face black from the smoke.

"She'll be ok" Castiel told me, voice hoarse as he sat down beside me "It'll take more than fire to kill a Nephilim"

"My sweet girl what did they do to you" I sobbed, noting all the wounds that littered her body, She coughed and he eyes fluttered, I took a breath that felt like my first time and grasped her to me.

"I'm here Lily" I whispered, clutching her head to my chest "I'm here baby girl"

"You saved me" I heard her whisper, which confused me because the guilt eating me up inside reminded me that I had been helpless in her rescue. But when I looked at her face, I noticed he was staring over my shoulder at Crowley.

I should have just been relieved and happy that my daughter was safe. But I could help the rage and jealousy creeping in at the idea of him being the one to save her.

"You're welcome darling" he smirked and disappeared. I had an idea where he had gone. But right now I needed to focus on the girl in front of me.

"Let's get you home" I whispered lifting her into my arms as I stood.

"Take her" Castiel told me, as I glances around at the wounded bunch around me, knowing Castiel couldn't get them all home on his own. "We'll be ok"

"You're sure?" I asked, glancing at each of them in turn.

"Go douche bag" Dean coughed "Don't pretend to care it's weird" For the first time since Lily disappeared I smiled and teleported back to the bunker.
