Felix's POV
"Daddy, will nursery have juice?" I look at Carter and sigh. This is the tenth time he's asked me this question. "Carter, they only have water at nursery. But you can have some juice when you get home." He sits on the steps and puts his head in his hands. "But I can't go to nursery without juice. It gives me energy." I kneel down and take his hands from his face. " Son, I promise, when you finish nursery, I will bring you a juice bottle, OK ?" Brooklyn comes down the front steps and sits next to Carter. "Hey baby, what's with the sad face?" Carter's bottom lip starts to tremble and I know what's coming. He starts to sob and Brooklyn picks him up and places him onto her lap. "Mommy, nursery doesn't have juice and I need juice. I won't have energy." He looks up at Brooklyn and I shake my head. This kid has her wrapped around his finger, I swear. "Mommy will speak to the teacher baby. You can take you're juice." Carter goes from sobbing to giggling. " Babe, you know what Mrs Finch said. No juice at all." "I don't care Felix, I will not have my baby this upset. They can let him have his juice, it's not a big deal!" Honestly I can't win so what's the point. " Fine babe, come on let's get going." I lean down and kiss Carter's chubby cheek. This kid is going places, I'm telling you. I chuckle as I open the back door of my car. "Hey little guy, you are going to love nursery. It's going to be so much fun." Carter's smile is bright as he kisses his moms face and hugs her. "Do they have sand and playdough?" "Yes baby, they have all sorts of fun stuff. Including sand and playdough." Brooklyn passes me Carter and I place him in his car seat. I fix his seat belt, then get into the driver's seat. I look at my beautiful wife, how did I get this lucky? She is such a beautiful person inside and out. We make our way to Carter's new school. It's a private school, not too far from our home, that all of my family have attended. It's an elite school, that has a certain criteria that has to be met for admission. When we arrive, Brooklyn get's out the car, rushing to get Carter from his seat. "Babe, promise me. Please go easy on Miss Finch." Brooklyn smirks at me. "Felix, come on. You know I play nicely. As long as she let's Carter have his juice, then it's fine." She turns and walks towards the entrance. This woman is so strong willed, it makes me so hot for her. I Watch her standing by the entrance with the other parents. How the hell am I supposed to keep being just a friend. When all I can think about is making her mine. I noticed some of the other dads checking out Brooklyn. One gets snagged by his wife, and I see him catch an elbow for it. It's a mad house since it's the first day. I look around and notice our boy is the only one not sniffling now that his Mum's promised she'll sort out the juice issue. Brooklyn turns towards me, "Did you just take a photo?" I look around noticing all the parents taking pictures and smiling. " No babe, did you want me to?" Brooklyn shakes her head. "Sorry it's just, it feels like someones watching us. That's why I thought you took a photo. It felt directed at us. It's silly, don't mind me." I walk up to Brooklyn and pull her into my arms. "Don't worry, I'm here, I will never let anything happen to you or Carter. Just relax there are a lot of families here. I promise it's safe for Carter, you know he means the world to me." I look around the car park as I feel goosebumps on my arms. It can't be possible for someone to be watching us. It's been 5 years since Brooklyn came to the Uk with me. If they knew she was here, they would of made a move by now. I need to arrange more security for us. If Brooklyn feels like we are being watched, then it's not a chance i'm willing to take.
