———————Percy's POV: ————————
I didn't want to pout, in fact, I knew that this was my fault. I shouldn't have said yes to going out this morning. But as I sat alone in the park, a part of me was furious. I stared down at the cut on my leg and cringed at the way it stained my jeans, the crimson now turning into a red as it dried.
When I said yes to frozen yogurt this morning, I hadn't exactly expected to be ditched.
----------------------------
Early this morning I woke up to hasty knocks on my door. Like any normal person, I ignored them and turned around in bed. That was until I heard Jason yell at Tim.
"Dude! Just break down the door! You did it to me you can do it to her!" Immediately I was out the bed and in my closet.
"Dude!" Tim mocked, "I can't just run into Percy's! A GIRL!!'s room!" Tim yelled back, and I had to let out a sigh for having at least one brother with common sense. I quickly threw on proper clothes while Tim continued to knock on my door, I even had to pick up the pace once Jason joined in, in fear for my door's stability.
By the time I got everything ready, they were yelling and screaming. I could only hope this isn't what they did when I wasn't here the morning I went to camp. I quickly opened the door, barely dodging two incoming hands each going to harshly knock on my door and instead acting as two punches.
"Whoa- hey Percy!" Jason said, smiling as if he hadn't just tried to knock down my door with his bare hands.
I narrowed my eyes at the two of them, I really wasn't in the mood for this. They both knew I wasn't the happiest today, I'd failed a big math test I'd studied for the day before. I was trying so hard to give some good news to Annabeth and yet here I was, a failure. I'd been trying my best to ignore the fact that this is exactly what Gabe had been telling me for years.
"What do you two want?" I asked, my voice harsher than I meant but I didn't correct it, I personally was still upset and I really didn't feel like dealing with anything but my bed today.
Jason lightly hit Tim in the side with his elbow and Tim only looked over at him with an angry expression before looking back at me with an innocent expression.
"Heyyyyyyy Percy! We noticed that you were a bit upset yesterday," I felt my grip on the door tighten, the splintering sounds barely registering in my ear. I looked to the side to see that the paint was cracking around my hand, a small dent left where my hand was gripping. I released slightly as I turned to them but I could see Tim's wide eyes, a small bit of fear behind them. A similar look carried on Jason's face. "so we uh..." He gave me a trying smile as if trying to silently convince me not to kill them. I was seriously considering just sending Ms. O'Leary after them.
"Spit it out," I said, narrowing my eyes as I released the door from my grip, instead crossing them over my chest.
"We wanted to invite you out for some frozen yogurt to cheer you up? Dick always likes to get some when he's sad so we wanted to know if you'd be interested in going." I wanted to yell at them, they woke me up for frozen yogurt?! I felt my eye twitch as I took a step forwards, small eeps coming out of the two of them as they took a step back. "You don't have to go! But we figured since they have a new limited edition blue cookie monster flavor that you would want to try it." Tim reasoned, putting his hands up in front of his face as if preparing for a punch.
I paused my stance, my stomach rumbling louder than I'd liked as I began actually considering the idea. I looked over the two to see they were peeking through their defenses. I felt my face settle into a calmer expression as I sighed.
