————— Percy's POV: —————
The blowing from the plane threw my hair back violently, it flicked the edges of my face before attempting to pull me back like a parachute.
I felt a hand on my back and I turned to see Deathstroke, his helmet off revealing his eyepatch and smile.
"You ready to go partner?" I smiled and nodded.
"I don't think I've ever been more ready." I replied. I smirked and headed off for the plane.
Today was the day I'd kill Deathstroke. I'd get rid of him in the one place he could never escape. In the air. Once I did so I could eliminate the crew, place my mask in the wreckage and be seen as dead. Maybe eaten by a shark or something since people seem to have the assumption that they'd be the ones who'd eat me.
With an eerily giddy feeling I began walking toward the plane.
I silently prayed to Apollo for healing or motion sickness and relief and I even took a chance by praying to Zeus to not strike me down or help with the whole sickness in the air thing.
As my feet touched the metal plank leading up to the hull of the plane it let out thick and hollow sounding sounds. I didn't pay it any mind as I walked into the plane. It was a large plane admittedly, the massive cargo could tell you that just at a glance.
I eyed the area quickly. I needed to find a good way to pull this off. Talia paid someone to order Deathstroke to do this assassination. I had one try otherwise this would probably be the end of my life.
I shook the thought away. I'd make it.
I pulled my phone out of my pocket. The others had been texting me nonstop. I smiled as I looked at a message from Hazel, it was a picture of Ms. O'Leary playing on the hills in New Rome. I carefully placed my phone back in my pocket. I texted Tim this morning, telling him what I'd hoped would be the plan of him meeting me on the shore of Gotham once I finished this.
I quickly took a deep breath. Time to get serious.
I walked forwards, but as I made it midway through the plane, a thumping sound came from behind me. I turned quickly, knife outstretched.
There wasn't anyone. I took a few steps forward before a worker rushed out from behind one of the boxes, tripping over himself and getting a nasty blow to the head. I instinctively flinched at his impact, he stopped moving once he hit the ground. I quickly rushed forwards and placed my fingers to his wrist. I waited a minute but was happy to find that he was, in fact, still alive. I let out a sigh of relief, I rolled him over and picked him up bridal style. Hopefully this plane had an infirmary.
I walked into a side hallway, asking one of the passing employees who simply took the man from me before racing off.
I stood there, now empty handed, as I counted down the minutes.
I decided to make my way to the front of the plane and I'd wait there till we were at the right spot.
I walked through the plane, constantly looking out for anything that could put the plan in jeopardy. Luckily I didn't find anything.
I took a seat just as I heard someone call out from what had to be the cargo room.
"DOORS CLOSING, PLANE TAKING OFF IN 10 MINUTES." I sighed as I pulled my phone out, looking down at the screen.
I'd not gotten any messages, I paused as I clicked on Tim's contact.
I apologized yesterday, for being the reason he'd been hurt. Of course I didn't dabble in the details, but I did apologize for him feeling the need to jump in front of me.
