-------------Percy's POV: ---------------

As I looked down at yet another dress that I adorned I couldn't help but think, 'Again?' I mean someone had to be running out of ideas here. Maybe it was the fates or whoever was writing about my tragic life. ((AN: I'm kidding, I promise lmfaaooooo))

I pulled up the skirt of the dress a few inches, unfortunately this time it had to be just about any other color to blue, Talia said it would be too suspicious and for good reason too. As I stood beside Damien I could feel my heart pounding in my throat, my hands getting clammier by the second.

Today's mission involved something at a party. Bruce's party. I felt my jaw clench as I took in a deep breath of stale air. Damien looked over to me, his bright green eyes sparkled in the moonlight. It was a wonder how he got them from Talia's genes. Her dark brown eyes were pretty enough but I couldn't imagine who she got with in order to have Damien. Surely he couldn't have known about her background. Maybe he's dead now because of it.

I shook my head from my thoughts, I needed to stay focused, no more loose thoughts. I shook myself to the point Damien gave me a strange look.

"You ready Dami?" I asked, he nodded, putting his face back to it's usual angry look. I took in a deep breath, fluffing my short skirt. There was always a theme to Bruce's parties, of course they usually were focused around elegance which is why people would assume not, but no, there was, and tonight was kings and queens. I happened to put my own spin on this. Damien beside me was dressed in the finest young king outfit we could find, and by that I mean a suit with a cape, and lots of gold detailing. I would be lying if I said it didn't fit him, I on the other hand wanted to attract as little attention as possible so I was dressed in a simple black and dark gray dress. I was dressed like a knight if they were casual of course, I wouldn't pull up in a whole suit of armor. No, instead my dress was simple with a grey suit like coat that covered from my chest down to my hips where it stopped, becoming the top layer in a layer of black ruffles, both had golden tousles at the end. I sighed, fixing the crossing pattern of the suit over my chest, spotting the white collar poking out with it's beautiful golden decal instead of a bow-tie. I'd also added a sword hilt to really complete the look.

((An: I don't usually like doing this, but for the sake of imagination I'm going to put in the dress. It's at the bottom of the chapter if you wanna skip to that and then come back.))

"I'm always ready, now let's go, my knight." I nodded as I began to follow after him. We'd agreed that he'd only address me by 'my knight' for the entirety of my knight, I could only hope that others took this as an in-character version of a body guard. In case we happened to come across Bruce and possibly my brothers, the name wasn't the only thing we'd changed. Talia had brought in a wig, a terrifyingly convincing one. She'd spent the better half of an hour applying it properly, getting everything into place and making sure it looked natural. Now, instead of my usual messy black and white hair, a layer of bouncy blonde curls rolled over my shoulders. I pushed a few away from my face, the curls falling carefully into yet another beautiful position. I wasn't sure that they would be enough to be convincing so I also put in some of the brown eye contacts I'd bought a while back for a scrapped mission.

They felt weird in my eyes but I ignored that. I just needed to be convincing, and when I'd looked in the mirror, I didn't even recognize myself, so I'd say it was a success. Now we just needed to complete our mission and get out.

To get into the driveway itself had been a problem, we'd snuck in on the top of a van, laying flat was difficult, especially when the can needed to go up leaving me and Damien clinging to slippery metal with only the tips of our fingers, but once we got there we hopped off and hid for a while before strutting out.
