---------------- Percy's POV: -------------------

I stood quietly outside the place I was assigned my next mission, my fingers gripped tightly around my knife, and the cool metal was cool against my fingertips.

The blank yellow light drifted from the building and dusted over my skin and clothes. I took in a deep breath as I walked forwards, using my fingertips to push the knife up and into my sleeve, the flowy material easily concealing the weapon as I felt a click as the hole in the hilt locked into place, as my fingertips moved back into place the knife stayed in its position.

Today's mission was another internal mission, this time though, I came prepared with my own dress. The one had flowy sleeves in order to hide my weapons as well as a loose short skirt, something much easier to move in. I was lucky though, this time was only one hit and kill, I didn't need to take out the whole party, and, as much as I missed him, Damien was with his mother so I didn't have to worry about aiding him in the case of a bad scenario.

I shook my head momentarily before lifting my head high to display confidence. I began walking forwards as the yellow light now coated my clothing. Once again, while this was a mask party I need to change from my usual MO so I decided on a really nice sea bunny mask, the black spots instead jewels. I had to give it to Talia, she really knew how to work on short notice. Even the dress was ombre-d white to dark blue in order to compliment the colors.

I got into the line of masked women in men, most, if not all were already coupled up, I could feel a slight tension at this notice. I hid my expression though, keeping a confident smile as I kept my gaze held on the security guard. He was checking slips given by each person, something else Talia had provided me before arriving. My paper was tucked carefully into the belt of my dress.

I walked forwards a few steps before it was my turn to provide my papers. I quickly pulled out the small slip before I handed it to the large man. As he took it, scanning over it carefully, it gave me time to examine him. The man had a nice head of hair, pulled back into a bun, his eyes were hidden beneath dark black glasses, a small wire going from them to his left ear. Before I had time to look anymore his glasses faced my eyes.

"Ma'am, do you happen to have a partner with you?" I felt my brows narrow as I shook my head.

"No, I was under the assumption I could come alone." The man pursed his lips as he turned the slip around, he carefully pointed to the smallest of print.

"See here?" he tapped the paper lightly. " It says you require a partner in order to get in. I felt my jaw clench as I internally cursed out Talia. It was never simple with her.

"Is it not possible for me to get in without a partner?" The man shook his head. I took a step back, ignoring the annoyed faces of the people behind me as I scanned the crowd for an unlucky loner such as myself. I was unable to find anyone in the line.

"Ma'am, I'm afraid-"

"It seems I'm just in time." A smooth voice rang from behind me as I felt an arm slip into my own. My eyes flew to the figure beside me just to find a black, white, and orange mask. A tiger, its one eye blocked out by an eyepatch. "I'm afraid she must've forgotten I was arriving soon. Darling, I told you not to cover for me and to wait for me." I tried my best to hide my growing discomfort as I nodded.

"Of course, honey." I tried not to vomit as the words clawed out of my mouth. I could see a smirk beneath the smile as I turned to the guard. He looked between the two of us before nodding, allowing us to pass. I hurried in before ripping my arm away from Deathstroke.

"Darling? Oh, that's rich!" I said, wiping my hand off quickly on the dress. I allowed my discomfort to show on my face now as I let a shake run through my body.
