------------------Percy's POV:----------------------

"Hey there my little sea star, I'm glad to see you're awake. How you feeling?" I admit I was a bit out of it, so I kinda just rubbed my neck and stared at dad as if he were an optical illusion.

How I'd gotten here I wasn't too sure, the last thing I remembered was being dragged into the pool. Had dad done so?

He waited a minute before squeezing my nose, my eyes shutting as I shook his hand off me. Though, this touch alerted me to his actual presence. He was here in real life.

"Oh, uh, I'm okay. Just a bit out of it." Dad nodded, letting out a short breath as he placed his hands together in his lap.

"Don't worry, I relieved your symptoms a bit so we can talk, when you wake up back in the pool it'll come back but the least I can do is help for now." I nodded, pushing myself up into a sitting position. When I was cozy, he continued. "I need to talk to you about your family." I felt myself droop at my father's sudden darker look. "I heard about your mother from Hades, I'm... well I'm sorry. She was-" I placed my hand up.

"I don't want to hear that right now. Especially not now. Now, what do you need to tell me?" I tried to ignore dads saddened look at my words as he nodded, continuing carefully.

"You cannot tell them of your heritage." I tried to have y face go to confusion but I could tell he could see right through me. "I know you were thinking of telling them soon my little star, but your uncle, well, he already knows a bit of the godly world, unfortunately though, we cannot risk having him know more. Your uncle is a skeptic, this fact alone has kept us safer, you safer, but he already knows a demigod, knows her lineage and father. We're afraid that if he knows much more he will become clear-sighted, the Waynes always were more naturally gifted when it came to godly things, but Bruce hasn't quite reached the full view, it's saved him from many monster attacks. If you tell him, he's sure to become fully clear-sighted, so not only will it put you in further harm, but we can guarantee that once more monsters learn of where you'll be staying and with who, they may begin to go after your family as well." I felt y jaw clench at the thought.

Dad gave me a half smile, trying his best to look confident.

"I know you love them, and I'm happy you found a stable family. Honestly." His eyes almost pleaded with me to know that he was being truthful. "But I also want this one to last." The momentary rage that flooded my system was shut down quickly by a swish of cold water through my hair. "So please, unless it's an emergency, or you truly feel it's the right time, you may ask me for permission to tell them, but please, ask first." I felt myself ease up as he gave me a slight smile, his face looking like something straight out of a movie.

I let out a sigh, pushing myself off the side of the bed as I felt my feet connect with the cold smooth surface of the stone floor. I watched my dad's eyes widen as I took a step closer before wrapping my arms around him. I felt a tight grip wrap around me, basically swallowing me into the hug. That was one thing I loved about godly hugs, they were often a slightly shrunken down version of their godly selves so they were relatively large compared to humans. Their hugs practically shielded you. It was nice in times like these. It was funny though because even while I was underwater, I could still smell a stronger scent of the salty shores hanging off my dad.

I held on for as long as I could, the warmth melting the rest of my headache away as I nestled into his arms. It was times like these I wish dad could've been there when I grew up, all those tough times could've been replaced with memories like these.

Dad didn't move, instead holding me tight but gently at the same time.

It wasn't for a while before I felt his chest move underneath me, his deep voice ringing out above my head. "Your brother is home, along with your butler, I have to bring you back now. Would you like me to knock you out so you don't feel dizzy?" I nodded, squeezing my eyes shut as I squeezed as hard as I can, trying my best to spill out all my remaining wishes for hugs.

Dad removed his arms, placing his hands on my shoulders as he leaned down and kissed my forehead. "I love you sea star, please stay safe and don't forget to call me alright?" I nodded, feeling an easy smile rise to my lips as the world began to go dark.
