Chapter 04 (Part Two)

Work. Nathan didn't like work. Work sucked. But it got him money. Which he needed. Sadly.

Varian had left and gotten to work before Nathan, since Varian had an earlier shift. Though Nathan failed to see how they even had shifts when only three people worked in the shop during a ten-hour day. 

Nathan parked next to Varian's truck, slowly getting out and making his way to the store. As he opened the door, he heard Evan's unmistakable voice.

"So Varian..." 

Nathan refrained from sighing, seeing Evan sitting near the register and adjusting a bit of his hair as Varian worked on restocking shelves. Varian glanced over to Evan after he'd been addressed.

"If you had one night with a celebrity or musician, who would you sleep with?"

Oh. This would be interesting. Nathan raised an eyebrow as he walked to the back room to get his apron, watching Varian curiously. 

"None, considering I have a boyfriend." Varian replied, making Nathan smile slightly. Take that, Evan.

Evan sighed and rolled his eyes. "Okay. Let's say you don't have a boyfriend. Who would you sleep with?"

Damn you Evan. Nathan's smile dropped, though he did have to say in Evan's defense, it was never boring with him here. Unless he was occupied with Justin, anyway.

"Who would you sleep with Evan?" Varian countered. "I think I'd like to hear yours first." 

Evan frowned for a moment before huffing. "Fine. I'd totally fuck Adam Lambert. Happy now?" he said. Varian only smiled, going back to work. Nathan laughed quietly at that, glancing to Evan as he walked to the register and stood beside it.

"Adam Lambert? That's not surprising." Nathan commented. It really wasn't. He'd mention it to Justin later on- to see his reaction, of course. Though he was still interested on who Varian would sleep with.

He'd bother him about it later.

Evan turned his attention to Nathan. "Oh, hey Nathan." he said with a smile. "Totally! He's only the sexiest gay man in the world." 

Varian smiled further and shook his head, still working on restocking the shelf.

Nathan frowned slightly. "Did you really just notice me?" he asked, shaking his head as well. "And I don't know that I'd say the 'sexiest' gay man. That's a matter of opinion."

"Hey, I was talking to Varian, cut me some slack." Evan stated, pouting. "And Adam Lambert is the most delicious looking man I've ever seen." Varian sighed at that.

"Alright. He's easy on the eyes, but you should appreciate his music, not his appearance."

"Exactly! No eye-raping Adam Lambert." Nathan said, then paused to look over at Varian with a raised eyebrow. "Wait, you know who Adam Lambert is? You don't know Tetris, but you know him?"
