The headache he was experiencing was all Nathan could think about for the last ten minutes of his second class. It hadn't been bad earlier, thanks to medicine, but now it was highly distracting. He guessed it was a good thing they weren't doing much at the time. As soon as the clock turned to 1:50, he was out of his seat and headed for the parking lot that his car was in.

But, of course, he'd barely made it five feet out of the building before he was tackled by Thomas, who had Skyler following behind him with a smile. They were worse than the twins sometimes.

"Ah. And here I was hoping to stealthily slip by." Nathan sighed. Thomas snorted, releasing him and putting his arm around Nathan's shoulders instead.

"Yeah, good luck with that." he mumbled. Nathan rolled his eyes, shrugging Thomas' arm off.

"Well if you don't mind, I have somewhere to be."

"Aw, for the whole weekend?" Thomas asked with a small pout.

"Yes. For the entire weekend."

"We'll see you on Monday then." Skyler said. Nathan nodded back, waving to them as he continued to his car, hearing Thomas complain about being stuck with Skyler for two days. Thomas certainly was interesting. And Skyler was too perceptive for his liking. But, he'd worry about that later. For now, he had a headache to take care of.

The drive back down to Mandan seemed longer than usual, and Nathan was pretty sure he broke a couple traffic laws on the way, but he didn't really care. He was just trying to figure out why the damn ride took so long.

He couldn't have been happier as he pulled into the driveway of Varian's house, and considering the temperature, he was vaguely surprised to see Varian outside, leaning against the fence with his arms crossed. Nathan got out of the car slowly and shuffled over, waiting until he was right in front of Varian and putting his head on his shoulder without a word. He'd talk later. When his headache was gone.

Varian uncrossed his arms and hugged Nathan, tilting his head down to rest it against Nathan's. "That bad?" he asked quietly.

"It could probably be worse." Nathan admitted, wrapping his arms around Varian's waist.

"I've gotten too used to you being around. It feels weird when you're gone."

"College is weird. I don't like college. Weird people."

Varian laughed, holding Nathan a little tighter before letting go. "Meet anyone interesting?"

"Interesting is a word and a half. I refuse to move, by the way. Just letting you know." Nathan mumbled, keeping his arms around Varian and his head on his shoulder.

"I don't mind. But it's hot and Evan dragged me outside long enough."

"Oh? Evan was here?" That's good. Varian had someone to help him other than Andre. Not that Nathan minded Andre, but he was more comfortable with someone he knew better.
