Hi I'm Liam Howard. Isa akong neurosurgeon sa isang sikat na hospital dito sa Cleveland. It was a hospital university same university kung saan ako nag tapos nag medical course. Same hospital naman kung saan ako naging resident doctor. I am now one of the doctor professor under the department of neuro. Currently I'm 28 years old. In my 28 years of existence. I've never thought of falling in love. I was too focus in my study. Putting much passion in handling my patients. Seeing them smiling and recovering with my little help is making my heart flatter.
Hindi naman din ako stricto, hindi rin ako cold hearted. Nakikisabay naman sa trip nang mga co doctors ko na e blind date but still I have no interest. Mas gusto kong single at mag focus sa mga goals ko and I have my patients waiting for me. And my patients are very precious to me. Operating and help them cure is what makes me happy.
From Cleveland I travelled to Philippines for a medical mission sa isang hospital. Okay naman dun. I was there to observe and teach some of the resident surgeons.
Not until a student was being confined, with brain tumor. And I am her doctor. She needs to be treated and kailangan niya maoperahan pero kahit anong pilit ng parents niya, still her answers remains no.
Midnight around 12:40 am when I knock on her room and open it. I saw her with her phone. Bigla siya napatingin sa akin at agad ko naman siya nginitian.
"Can I come inside?" I ask.
She just nodded.
I grab a chair and sit facing her.
"Can we talk?" I continued.
"Dc. kung nandito ka para kombinsihin ako still ayoko." sagot niya.
I smiled.
"Kaya naman pala sumasakit ulo eh masyadong magaling manghula." ani ko.
"Well, maybe andito nga ako para kumbinsihin ka, but I want to know the reason why bakit ayaw mong ma cure?"
"Wala na po kayong pakialam dun Dc."
"Of course I have. As a doctor I need to know why."
At bigla nalang kaming nagkatitigan sa isa't-isa.
