Chapter Thirty Three

Jaira's POV

I just woke up early in the morning. At sobrang gulat ko nang ako ay magising.
Just imagine waking up na may isang gwapong lalaki ang naka doctor gown nakaupo sa harapan mo. While hugging a shining brown guitar smiling at you.

"Good morning." bati niya.

"Good morning Mahal." sagot ko atsaka ko ito nginitian.

"Bakit may dala-dala kang gitara?" tanong ko.

"Wala trip ko lang." sagot nito at sabay napakamot ng ulo.

Bigla nalamang may bumakas ng pinto. Hindi ito kumatok kaya nagulat kami ni Liam pareho.
Si kuya Lynn to at may hawak hawak na phone.

"Ba-bakit?" tanong nito.

"It's Lawrence." sambit nito habang hinahabol ang paghinga.

Nakaramdam ako ng kaba dahil sa daglian na tumayo si Liam at kinuha ang phone. Nang makuha niya ang phone mula sa kamay ni Dr. Lynn ay lumabas silang pareho kaya naman mas kinabahan pa ako.

"May problema kaya?" bulong ko sa isip.

After nang ilang minuto ay bumalik ito sa loob.

"Mahal, may aasikasuhin lang ako saglit. Babalik ako mamaya para echeck ka. Okay?"

Tumango ako at agad niyang hinalikan ang aking noo.

Lyndon's POV

I already talk to the patient na may lung cancer. Since successful yung lobectomy surgery ko kay Jasmine ay tinanggap ko yung surgery nito.

Nang matapos ko ang operation na ka received ako ng phone call mula kay Lawrence kaya agad akong nagtungo sa room ni Jaira. Habang nag-uusap si Liam at Lawrence over the phone. I can sense Liam's expression is not that good.

Nag paalam siya kay Jai at nagtungo ito sa quarter niya. Kaya naman eh, sinundan ko na din siya.

"Tell me! What's going on?" tanong ko ng marating namin ang quarter niya.

"Successful ba yung lobectomy surgery kay Mr. Richard?" tanong nito.

Dali-dali niya binuksan ang monitor na para bang may importante itong titignan.

"He is under observation now." sagot ko.

"Liam! Wag mong ibahin ang usapan what's going on?" pag-uulit ko ng tanong.

My heart broke when I saw Liam crying, his tears suddenly fell down. Kaya ko siya niyakap. Napalingon ako sa mga MRI results na ipineresent niya sa monitor screen. Those MRI results was sent by Lawrence.

"Ano bang mga 'to? Kaninong MRI results ba kasi ang mga 'to?" tanong ko.

Tinignan ko ulit ang name ng patient. K-k-kaizer Weasley?
Napatingin ako sa kanya.
Naglakad ako palabas ng quarter atsaka ko tinawagan si Lawrence.

"Hello?"

Bungad ko ng masagot ni Lawrence ang tawag ko.

"Lyndon. How's Liam?" tanong nito.

"His crying after seeing those MRI results you've sent. What's going on?" irita kong tanong.

"It's about his bestfriend Kaizer." he said.

"Why?" tanong ko.

"Liam chose neurology because of Kaizer. Gusto niyang operahan si Kaizer dahil may brain cancer ito. He is still in his residency years that time kaya halos madaliin niya na yung residency years niya. After he graduated his residency na assign siya sa Pilipinas. And Kaizer said he will wait Liam to be back."

"Pero yung brain cancer ni Kai already turns into glioblastoma I sent him the MRI result to confirm the result himself."

"I understand. I'll drop the call now. Bye."

Bigla kong binaba ang phone at nakasandal na tumayo sa pinto. Pinagmasdan ko si Liam na umiiyak habang naka upo itong pinagmamasdan ang mga MRI result.

Bigla nalamang akong nagulat ng bigla siyang nagwala. Lahat ng gamit sa mesa ay nag si bagsakan na sa sahig. Pinag susuntok niya ang monitor ng computer hanggang sa nahulog ito at nabasag.

Lumapit ako at sinubukan ko siyang pakalmahin. Alam kong sobrang sakit nito para sa kanya.

Liam's POV

*Flashback*

"So what course you want in college bro." Kaizer said while passing the ball.

We're at the court playing basketball.

"I'm taking medicine." I answered and shoot the ball.

"That's great then. And what is your specialization?" he asked while getting the ball back and dribbling.

"I don't know yet."

"Then you should better think about it man where soon to graduate in high school."

"Choosing specialization is after 4th year in med." I said and kick her a**.

Time passed very fast and we both graduated in college. He finished his law and I finished my med. We're taking picture when he suddenly fainted.

"Hey, Kai."

We take him to the emergency room as we all panicked. Including me as his bestfriend and buddy. Then the doctor said that Kaizer has a brain cancer. He is taking chemotherapies. And that leads me to take neurology.

I checked on him time to time as his personal doctor. He wins a lot of cases and he is one of the famous attorney in Cleveland. I'm so proud of him as a bestfriend. After residency I was designated in the Philippines. I can still remember the words he says before I left. Because he is the one who company me in the airport.

"I'll wait for you,'Cuz you're my personal neurologist."

"I'll be back if you need me."

Where actually chatting all day, everyday. Until he stopped communicating. And I was too busy with Jai. And everything turns in to its worst.

*End of flashback*

Yakap-yakap ako ni kuya Lynn. Glioblastoma is a brain cancer that has no cure. There is a small percentage of being alive. That the deadliest cancer that a human can have. I can't imagine things would turns like this....

"Liam." I heard Lynn's voice calling my name as I open my eyes.
