Chapter Twenty Nine

Cathy's POV

*End of flashback*

"Ayus ka lang." tanong ni Jaira.

"Yeah I'm fine. I just remember something." huminga ako ng malalim at nag drive ulit.

I can't help but crying. Kahit pigilan ko tumutulo talaga.
Inihinto ko ang kotse sa entrance ng hospital at unang pinababa si Jaira.

"You can take it from here. Magpapark ako. Mauna ka na dun."

Tumango siya at lumabas ng kotse.

At dahil sobrang mapagbiro ng tadhana. After ko makapag park. Nagkasabay pa kami ni Dr. Liam sa elevator.

Nauna itong bumaba, Kaya tinawag ko siya.

"Dr. Liam." sigaw ko. Agad naman din siyang napalingon sa akin.

"Ano yun?" taas kilay nitong tanong.

Tumulo ang luha ko ng humarap ito sa akin.

"Nothing." atsaka ko isinara ang elevator.

Diretso ako sa lumang office ni tito Terence na nagsisilbing temporary quarter ni Lynn.

I knocked on the door. And slowly open it. I saw him reviewing some chest x-rays results.

"Pasok." aniya.

I sit on the table facing him.

"Si Dr. Liam ba ang receiver ng puso ni ate?" walang pa tumpik-tumpik kong tanong.

He suddenly walk towards me.

"Yes he is the organ receiver." kompirma nito.

"I feel terrible of how I treated him but he never get mad at me. He just very generous for protecting Jaira but he never have a serious argue and fight with me. Kaya naman pala." mangiyak-ngiyak kong sambit.

He just hugged me while I'm sitting on his table.

Jaira's POV

Nasa room 143 na ulit ako. Si Dr. Brent ang nag check ng vitals ko.

"Fighting Ms. Jai." saad nito atsaka pa nag fighting fist.

"Thank you kuya Brent." sagot ko.

"Siguro hindi kinakabahan si Ms. Jai mukhang mas excited, kasi yung pinaka gwapong doctor ng SJ Hospital ang mag susurgery sa kanya. At higit pa dun. Boyfriend niya pa." panunukso ni Kuya Kevin habang piprepare ang dextrose.

"Parang kagat lang 'to nang langgam." saad ni Kuya Brent nang ibigay ni Kevin ang syringe sa kanya.

Nakita naman nila agad yung ugat kaya naikabit nila ang dextrose.

Both of them smiles.

"Tita, less kaba dapat okay? Si son in law mo ang magsusurgery." baling ni Kevin kay mama.

Tumawa naman si mama.

Nakarinig kami ng katok at si Liam ang nakangiting nakasandal sa pinto.

He walks toward me and kissed my head.

"Dok! Andito kami." saad ni Brent.

"Pikit ka Brent pag-inggit." sagot ni Dok.

"Anong sinabi mo?" hirit pa nito atsaka ito kunwaring inawat ni Kevin.

"Relax Brent inlove lang si Dok." sabay hawak naman ni Kevin ang magkabilaang kamay ni Brent.

Isinuot ni Liam ang stethoscope at pinakinggan ang heart beat ko.
Then he smiles after taking it off.

"Just call me if you need anything. Relax ka lang dito at mag gain ka ng lakas."

Tumango ako at hinalikan niya muli ang ulo ko.

Lyndon's POV

"That's just a proof of how Liam loves Jai." saad ko habang nasa labas kami ng room ni Jaira nanonood ng napaka sweet na eksena.

"So Jai has an upcoming surgery? Bakit ano bang meron?"

"Jai has been diagnosed of brain tumor, she need Craniotomy. A surgery to remove the tumor on her brain." sagot ko sabay akbay sa kanya.

"She's so lucky, Liam is ready and prepare to save her. He is a real hero." iling niya.

"Will you do the same for me?" tanong niyang ikinagulat ko.

"What do you mean about that?"

Possible bang may lung cancer din si Jasmine na na inherit niya mula sa mommy nila gaya ni Kath?

"I was diagnosed a lung cancer too. I feel the symptoms that my sister felt before she dies."

I stare at her and froze. I hugged her tight. Blanko ang utak ko sa mga oras na ito. Pero isa lang ang nasa isip ko. What happen to Kath should not happen to Jasmine too. I won't forgive my self though. I need to do something to help her.

"Swerte ka pa rin kahit papaano. Kung si Jaira may brain tumor napunta siya sa isang neurosurgeon."

"Then you have me. Who handles everything inside your chest." I smiled and kissed her head.

It was the day of Jaira's operation. I am in the 2nd floor to watch the operation.

Liam stare at me from where I'm standing and I smiled at him. I know he can do it.

Brent and Kevin is with him inside the operating room. Everything seems to be fine. Bigla akong nabigla kay Jonathan isa sa mga residents doctor ni Liam.

"Bakit ka tumatakbo?" tanong ko.

"Si Ms. Cathy po nasa emergency room."

Daglian akong tumakbo patungo sa emergency room. I saw Cathy and Tito Theodore is crying beside Cathy's bed.

"What's going on?" tanong ko.

"Lynn, Cathy has a lung cancer. We need to operate lobectomy. But we don't have any thoracic surgeon aside from you." saad ni Director Terence.

"Ready the OR2 since occupied ang OR1. I'll get ready my self." saad ko.
