Chapter Seventeen
Liam's POV
It's Friday, I'm in my office and reviewing some neuro diagnosis and findings.
When someone knock on my door.
Unexpectedly Dr. Reyes enter behind the door.
"Oh, Dr. Reyes come on in."
He smiled and entered the room.
"Have a seat." I offered.
"Thank you Dr. Howard. I came here to say something. A bad news and a good news."
"I'll start saying the bad news."
"My patient that is under coma for several months is already announce brain dead."
"I'm so sorry to hear that Dr. Reyes."
"But the good news is the patients' last request is to donate all her function organs to save lives."
I was feel relief on that news.
"Talaga?"
"If your brother has much time I hope he can do the surgery today after lunch since we will be dividing the organs since someone needs a kidney transplant in the other hospital."
"That's a relief Dr. Reyes. I'll call him right now."
I look at the clock. It's 10:30 am.
I abruptly dial Lyndon and run to Lilys' room.
"Hello?"
"Tumatakbo ka ba?" tanong nito.
"Yes can you do the Heart Lung transplant today after lunch. I'm heading to Lilys' room to tell her."
"May donor na ba?" tanong nito.
"Oo meron na, he is brain dead and organs will be divided today after lunch since someone needs a kidney transplant in St. Paul Hospital."
"I'm still in class but I can dismissed and head to the hospital right now. For now don't be so excited and ready the OR and ready self. Since you will be with me in the OR."
"I'll understand."
I reach 623 while running out of breath. Nadatnan ko silang nag-uusap ng mama niya.
"Lily."
"Dok?"
I hold her hands while kneeling.
"You need to be strong today. You will be having your transplant later this afternoon."
"Talaga po?" mangiyak-ngiyak nitong sambit.
"For now save all your strength and take a rest."
"Maraming salamat panginoon." sambit ng mama nito.
"I'll be going back to my station to prepare. And one of my resident will be coming here para mapirmahan niyo po ang consent."
"Opo dok maraming maraming salamat." and she hold my hands.

Lyndon's POV
The call got ended and I feel happy with the news.
"Okay class, I need to do something important today. So you can have your early dismissal."
And I grabbed my stuff and run.
Diretso ako sa kotse at agad itong pinaandar. Papunta ako sa hospital.
