Chapter Fourteen

Brent's POV

Siya yun!

"Excuse me." saad nung lalaki.

"Yes po how can I help you po?" entertain ni Macy.

"I'm looking for Dr. Howard." and he smiled.

"Ah si doc? Nasa room 290 po. Yung patient niya kasi na may Parkinson's Disorder naka recover na after the DBS surgery. Kaya andun siya para kumustahin. For discharge na kasi."

"Ahh ganun ba? Saan po ba yung 290."

"Straight ka lang po dun."

"Thank you doc." saad nito.

Bakit niya hinahanap kuya ko?

"Bakit niya hinahanap si Dok?" tanong ko kay Macy.

"Nagmamadali ka ba?"

"Ha?" sagot ko.

"Habulin mo tapos ask him bakit niya hinahanap si Dok." pantataray ni Macy.

"May regla ka ba ha! Bat ang sungit mo." sagot ko.

Lyndon's POV

Hindi na ako kumatok ng marating ang room 290 since bukas Naman ito.

Liam immediately notice I enter the room holding two cup of coffee.
Nagpaalam na siya na aalis kaya lumabas kami at nag usap sa labas.

"Here." sabay abot ko sa kanya ng baso.

"Thanks kuya." sagot nito.

We're 1 year, and 2months in gap pero tuwing tinatawag niya akong kuya nanginginig tuhod ko. I'll understand na tawagin si Lawrence ng kuya. Lawrence is 3 years older than I and 4 years older than Liam.

"Kuya mo pagmumukha mo." sagot ko.

Atsaka siya tumawa at humigop ng kape.

"By the way." sabi niya.

"Ano?" taas kilay kong sagot.

"Nagkausap kayo?" tanong niya.

"Ah oo nag kakilala kami pero di kami totally nag usap. Hinayaan kong mag usap muna sila ng mama niya."

Atsaka siya tumango at humigop ng kape.

"Siya nga pala." aniya.

"Mukhang dami mong kwento ah!" sagot ko.

"Ayaw mo makinig? About pa naman sana sa lovelife ko yung e chichismiss ko sayo."

"Weee Di nga? May girlfriend ka na?"

"Hindi."

"Eh ano?"

"There's a girl I like. She is one of my patient."

I look at him smiling. Tarantadong bata to may oras pang lumalablyp.

"May sasabihin ako." saad ko sa seryosong tono.

"I ask Director Terence na mag swap tayo. I can't just stay here doing nothing. I apply for your position as the St. John University professor. Focus ka nalang dito." diretsahang tugon ko.

"Well ayus na yun, but please." hirit nito.

"Bakit?" tanong ko.

"The girl I like is my student too. At the same time she is my patient. She is Jaira G. Villa-Sanchez."

"She is being bullied by the school directors' daughter si Cathy Jasmine Xy."

"Leave it to me." sagot ko.

When I was in my college days I'm a catcher. I catch every girls heart. Pero nung nag resident na ako. I face the reality. After my residency di na ako nagka oras pang lumandi. Everything has change.

"I'll leave that bratty girl to you, ikaw yung regalo ko sa kanya." dagdag ni Liam.

Friday ... First period ng klase.

"Good morning class."

"Good morning Dr......" blanko lahat ng estudyante.

"Howard." dugtong ko.

"Please be seated everyone."

"For now I will be the temporary professor in this class on behalf of Dr. Liam Matthew Howard."

"There's lot of things Dr. Howards need to do. So right now standing in front of you is Lyndon Matthew Howard. I'm Dr. Liams' older brother."

"In a sheet of paper, I want all of you to think of something you really want to have. And why you really want that thing or person, or it can be anything."

"I'll be collecting all of it after and that serves as your attendance. Okay?"

"Yes dok."

20 minutes later.

"I got 30 papers here. That means everybody's present."

"This is all for today have a good one. For the remaining time you can do and finish any activities you have for other subjects."

One scheduled class every Monday and Friday.

I was on my way to go home ng may makabangga ako, she dropped all her stuffs and I help her get everything up.
And I suddenly saw her ID and I smiled.

"Oh, my apologies. I'll be careful next time." I said.

"It's fine, and one thing don't ever show up infront of me again or else."

Tinaasan ko agad siya ng kilay.

"Or else?" I said.

"Makikita mo hinahanap mo."

"No need I already found it."

Her expression turns into anger.

"She's standing in front of me."

"Bago ka ba dito?" irita nitong tanong.

"Baka hindi mo 'ko kilala. No one tries to beat me. You know Hanzel? His my boyfriend."

"Oh! Really?" with the british accent.

"I'm that kind of man, that once I found what I'm looking for. I wont really allow anyone touches it. Remember that."

"Miss Jasmine." I whispered.

"Stop calling me Jasmine."

"Well, I'll call what ever I want. You might be Hanzels' Cathy. But you're my Jasmine."

"And..." pabitin ko.

"You should be the one not to show up infront of me again or else."

"Or else what?" she said angrily.

"You will be Hanzels' past."

"W-what!?"

"Cause I won't let him touch you ever again. And you'll be mine."

I can hear her breathing fast sa sobrang inis at napapalunok pa ng laway.
I'm on my way to the hospital para balitaan si Liam.

At the department station.

I saw the doctor in the ER. Resident pa pala siya.

"Hi, si Dr. Liam?" tanong ko sa kanya.

"Para sa kanya bayang kape na dala mo?" tanong nito.

I just nodded.

"Wala dito yung kuya ko nag ra-rounds." sagot nito.

"Kuya mo?" gulat na gulat kong sagot.

I've never know na apat pala kami.

"Bakit di ba halatang magkapatid kami ha!" sagot niya.

"Ako si Brent Osario Howard." pakilala niya.

"You can relay to me any message ako na magsasabi sa kuya ko."

I laughed so hard. Like really??? Kapatid ko ba talaga 'to?
