After ordering, we discussed our plan. They explained that they had some important members of their organization go to prison recently and they needed to break them out. They wanted to use my and my uncle's power to accomplish the task.
"What about the other prisoners?" I asked. "Won't they get out if we take down the wall?"
"Yes, but that's not our problem," Marceau said.
"It might be better that way," the dog said. "The cops will have many criminals to catch, not just our guys."
"Right," Marceau said. "They'll want to catch the more dangerous animals first like serial killers and such."
"Or they'll want to catch whoever caused the prison break in the first place," I pointed out.
"You'll be long gone by then," Marceau said.
"Est-ce la première fois que vous libérez quelqu'un de prison ?" Bastien asked.
"Is this your first time breaking someone out of prison?" the lynx translated back to me.
"He's new," Rockie answered for me. "So, no. He hasn't, but Blade has."
The lynx translated to Bastien.
"Alors pourquoi Crypto parle-t-il ?"
"Then why is Crypto talking?" the lynx translated.
"That's a good point," Rockie said, giving me a look.
I leaned back in my seat and let them talk.
"Our biggest problem will be that the whole prison is powerproof," the dog said.
"Will that stop our powers if we're outside the prison?" my uncle asked.
"Yes. You'll never get your power past the first fence when they have it on," he said.
"Then let's find a way to turn it off," Rockie said.
"You guys don't have a rocket launcher or something to use?" I asked. "Why do you need to make it complicated by involving us?"
Rockie gave me another look. "I thought you were gonna shut up."
"It's a valid question," Marceau said. "The problem with large weapons like rocket launchers is they're very difficult to hide. The prison has guards watching all the time so it would be difficult not to be caught, but with Beaucerons, we don't need to hide you and it's not hard to move you around. You have a right to public areas unlike rocket launchers."
I didn't understand all of what he said because of his thick accent but I caught the last sentence and understood what he was trying to say.
"It won't take long for them to ban Beaucerons from France if you keep using us as weapons," I said.
"Or they'll have our power boxes removed just like they do to lynxes," Uncle Blade said.
"I was under the impression that you were on board with this plan," Marceau said. "You should have known you were brought here because of your power."
"They are on board," Rockie reassured him. "We aren't affected by any of the laws passed in France. We are American citizens. If they want to ban Beaucerons then they won't come back, but we're here for a couple days to help you out and that's what we're gonna do."
"Then enough with the arguing," the dog said. "It's pointless and a waste of time. We still need a functional plan."
"I agree. We're not gonna have any more problems, are we?" Rockie asked us.
"I don't have a problem with the plan," my uncle said. "I'm just making sure we've thought through all the possible outcomes. I didn't mean to offend."
I nodded even though I didn't agree. If the French authorities found out what Beaucerons were capable of and willing to do, which was essentially acts of terrorism, then all the innocent Beaucerons would suffer the consequences. These guys didn't care about that though. They were selfish criminals.
