"I can't wait to get away from this place," I said as we waited for our taxi to take us to the airport.

"I think we made some good memories here," Rockie said.

"Really? Like what?" I asked.

"Like when you convinced Marceau to pay us two million dollars. That was great."

"And the time I saved your life," Uncle Blade said.

"You didn't save my life," I told him.

"We could've left without you."

"You did what was expected of you," I said. "You think you deserve an award for being a decent animal?"

My uncle shook his head. "Forget it."

"I will," I told him.

It started to rain.

"Ugh. I hate the rain," my uncle said.

"Me too," Rockie said.

"It always gets in my ears," he said.

"Mine too," I said.

"Maybe you shouldn't have gotten them cropped," Rockie said.

"It's a family tradition," my uncle told him.

It started to pour.

"We should find shelter," I said.

By the time we got to a covered area, we were drenched, along with our luggage.

The taxi picked us up and, as soon as we got in, the rain stopped.

"That's weird," Rockie said. "What are the chances?"

"It's just a coincidence," I insisted.

We hit every red light on our way to the airport, and then we got caught in heavy traffic on the highway since it was apparently rush hour and there was construction going on.

"We're not gonna make it there in time at this rate," I said.

Rockie rolled his window down and yelled at the cars in front of us to go faster.

"I don't think that's gonna help, Rockie," Uncle Blade told him.

"Well, just sitting here isn't gonna help either," he said.

"What do you suggest we do? Get out and walk?" Uncle Blade asked.

"That would probably be faster than this," I said. "We're moving at a snail's pace. We might have to rebook our flight if things don't pick up soon."

"That'll cost us more money," Rockie said.

"You can afford it."

"Yeah, but that's not something I would like to spend my money on if I can help it."

"There's nothing we can do," Uncle Blade said. "We can't speed up traffic. There's construction."

"Let's take another way then," Rockie said.

"There is no other way," I told him. "We're on the highway."

"There's plenty of space for us to get around," he said. "Hey, driver, go that way." He pointed to the right lane.

The driver turned on his blinker and got into the right lane when there was a gap.

"This isn't going to make us get there any faster," I told him.

"Keep going," Rockie told the driver.

The driver moved the taxi into the left shoulder and pulled over.
