Kai's POV
I walk into Mercedes room with a smile on my face as I rub my stomach, that chicken Alfredo her mom and I made has me stuffed to the max right now
"You ate good didn't you" Mercedes says and I smile and nod as I rub my stomach causing her to laugh, I sit on the floor in front of her bed and she does the same and turns on the tv
"What we watching tonight" I say as I put my arm around her and look at the tv
"Clue since it's your night and I know you wanted to watch that last time you were here" She says and I feel my heart melt
"You remember" I say surprised and Mercedes' smiles and looks at me
"Of course I did....I remember a lot of things about you" She says and I smile before sitting crisscross and looking at her amused
"Oh really like what" I say causing Mercedes to match my energy and sitting position
"Well I remember you fell in love with basketball at 10, you like taki's and onion dip for some reason, you love vegetables and when you were one you ran through a mall naked" She says and I smile and shake my head
"That's crazy...you know what I remember about you" I start and Mercedes smiles and waits for me to continue
"I remember you've been singing in church since you were five, your idols are Beyoncé, Whitney and Aretha Franklin....you love tater tot's religiously, you passed your drivers test after four tries and you confirmed your bisexuality by dating me...oh and you had to get stitches in your knee when you were ten from falling off your scooter" I say confidently and Mercedes smiles but rolls her eyes causing me to smile
"You know what I also remember" I say as I feel my nerves collecting in my stomach
"What's that" She says softly, I grab both of Mercedes hands and smile as I look into her eyes
"That I.......I felt butterflies in my stomach when I first heard you sing" I say as I feel a weight on my shoulders become heavier, Mercedes stares at me with so much adoration that I can't help but feel better about punking out
"You know what I remember too" She says and I smile and nod for her to continue
"That I felt the same feelings when I saw you walk into church that day" She says before pulling me into a kiss, I smile happily as I kiss her back and feel the butterflies in my stomach just erupt happily
Suddenly our making out is interrupted by someone clearing their voice, we pull away and I look to the door to see a tall, buff man standing there with his arms folded and glaring at me
"Oh my gosh Joshua" Mercedes before getting up and rushing towards the man who engulfs her into the hug with a smiling on his face suddenly
I stand up and prepare to greet whoever this guy is, who is now starting at me with an intimidating look
