Mercedes POV
I sit in glee rehearsals as I listen to Mr.Shue direct us for Nationals and I am very nervous for this
We seem ready but this is my second to last chance, not to mention that Kai and I will sing together next year which I can't wait for
I hear the bell ring causing me to immediately grab my stuff and walk out with Blaine and Kurt along with Santana surrounding me
"Mercedes I am freaking out, Nationals is so close and the competition seems stiff" Kurt says
"So am I, after that close call at Regionals....I am not sure how we'll hold up"Santana says name I go to reassure them but suddenly something catches my eye
Kai and that girl Breah talking and laughing about something, I've noticed that they've gotten a little close lately and I can tell that girl likes Kai
"Oop....that girl is trouble" Santana says and I look at her confused as we walk off to the side
"What do you mean" I ask confused and Santana sighs
"That girl Breah...she goes on about liking Kai all practice, she likes her and Kai is completely clueless" She responds causing me to turn back to Kai who side hugs the girl before running with her basketball buddies
"I don't trust her...she seems crafty" Blaine says as she looks at the light-skin girl walking down the hallway
"I don't either...I need to talk to Kai" I say and before Blaine can say anything, Sam comes over to us with a smile
"Hey guys....hey Mercedes, can we talk" Sam says and I roll my eyes
"No Sam, we can not talk...your lucky I don't want to mess with our chances at Nationals" I say annoyed and he sighs
"Mercedes I'm sorry, can we at least be friends...I've done all I can about the rumors" He says and I roll my eyes
"Not friends but cordial...now leave" I say and he smiles goofily before running off, I look over to see that Breah girl looking at me intently causing me to look at her confused before walking off with my friends

Kai's POV
I walk down the hallway with my guys as we talk about the big game coming up in a week, I can't wait for it and I'm excited for Mercedes' too since Nationals is before my game
"Alright I'll see you guys later" I say before going to my locker and getting my books to go home, I hear footsteps coming causing me to shut my locker and see Breah standing there
"Hey girl..what's up" I say with a slight smile and she smiles at me
"Kai I am beat, practice was grueling but I did that favor your asked earlier and I think Quinn is down" Breah says and I smile happily
"Great...I'll tell Isaiah, he's gonna be so happy" I say excitedly and Breah chuckles as she looks at me
"Speaking of relationships, how are you and Mercedes" She asks and I smile at the mention of my girls name
"We're great, I can't wait to see her on stage, I'm so proud of her" I say and Breah chuckles slightly
"Your cute...I mean I'm happy she found someone like you...after her and Puck broke up I was like...girl...you could do better" Breah says and I frown my eyebrows
"Wait..what, her and Puck never dated" I say confused and Breah looks at me a little more nervous than before
"Oh...you ain't know that...well she dated Puck a while ago but it's no big deal" She says and I look at her shocked before looking away but my eyes stop on something
Mercedes and Sam talking almost...friendly to each other...what the fuck
"Oop....well I mean y'all cuter then them" Breah says and I nod before walking to Mercedes who looks away briefly and smiles when she sees me
"Hey baby...I'll see you tomorrow Sam" Mercedes says as she comes over to me and I bend down to give her a kiss, i eye Sam who eyes me back with distaste
"Yea...see you Mercedes'" Sam say before walking away and I watch him as Mercedes leads me out of the school
"Ugh...I hate being friendly with him" Mercedes says and I just nod
"Why are you being friendly with him though" I say confused as we get to my car and I open her door
"Nationals, chemistry needs to be on point if we're going to win" She explains and I just nod i before taking out ti her house to drop her
With her and Puck dating in the past, still lingering on my mind
I drop her off before driving home and walking into the house, I see Emmanuel sitting out the couch and I don't even bother to say anything
I walk into my room and lay in my bed as my thoughts run wild
Was Breah serious, did Puck and Mercedes' really date and she didn't tell me? We tell each other everything! Who's would she keep that a secret?
I sigh and turn on my side, deciding to sleep on it and maybe ask her
I drift off to sleep as the thoughts run wild in my head still but stop once the sleepy hits me
A/n fr fr....why Mercedes keep that from Kai, especially since they so close and Puck is in her face all the time also I'm sorry for the awkward writing and if there's any mistakes, I'm being lazy today lol
