Kai's POV
I sigh as I lean against the wall across from Mercedes classroom as I wait for her to get out of class, Coach Beiste let me get out early since I mean...I asked and seniority
I hear the bell ring and wait till my girlfriend walks out and she smiles at me happily as she walks over to me, I pull her in by her waist and hug her before peck her lips multiple times
"Hey....how was your first" I ask as we stand to the side so people can pass, Mercedes sighs as she cuddles into my chest causing me to smile
"I'm already tired, I just wanna go home and sing a cover while you go with Blaine and Josh" She says and I chuckle a bit
"We won't take long but....it's time for glee tryouts for me....walk with me" I ask and Mercedes nods before pulling away and taking my hand
She leads me down the hallways as I hum the song I chose for myself, I'm not as nervous because I have a motive for joining not that I wouldn't want to joint if I didn't have one
But Mr.Shue wanted to test me
We get to the auditorium and see the rest of the New Directions talking and laughing as they stand on the stage, Blaine and Kurt look over and smile at us causing us to wave at them
I look over and I smile a bit wider as I see another person on the stage
Isaiah
"Look who stayed back to support his bestie" I say teasingly causing him to look over and he sighs heavily while The unholy trinity laugh around him
"Nah I'm not just here for you nigga....I'm actually here to audition" Isaiah says causing my eyes to go wide
"No way" I say and he nods with a slight smile on his face
"Ok...ok...who convinced you to be here because I never...ever..heard you sing" I say as Mercedes and I walk up to him and the girls
"Quinn convinced me...turns out that my singing in the shower and in the car is actually good" He replies as Quinn looks at him excitedly
"Yea and he's going to be singing a song he is really good at singing...maybe he'll be better than you Kai" Quinn says jokingly and I chuckle
"Mmm we'll see Quinny....we'll see" I say causing her, Santana, Brittany and Mercedes to laugh
"Ok everyone....my original New Directions, come be the audience and our new recruits can show their talent" Mr.Shue says as he walks in and sits at his seat, Mercedes pecks my lips before following her friends to the audience seats
Isaiah and I look at each other before looking over to Mr.Shue who looks confused and disappointed
"Is it...just you both" He asks confused and we both nod, Mr.Shue scoffs before leaning back into his chair
