Kai's POV (proofread)
I smile as I sit with the guys in the audience, as I get comfortable in my seat I see Sebastian sit next to me and causing me to sigh in discontent
"You know....you really did great out there" Sebastian whispers to me as some of the guy pat me on the back and hype me up and I give them a small smile before looking to Sebastian with a distasteful look
"Thanks but I can tell you have more to say about it" I say annoyed as the announcer calls out for the New Directions and I straighten up in my seat
"Would be an absolute shame if the guys..were to find out that your dating the competition..wouldn't it? I mean you did so good and we're a team player" He says and my eyes widen and I look at him angrily
"I-I'm not dating the competition, what are you talking about" I say not so convincingly and he smirks
"Your a terrible liar..and well Brady has been my eyes and proof" He says before turning to the performance, I turn back to it myself as I feel like I'm about to throw up, I knew Brady and Sebastian being together was suspicious but how did Sebastian find out first
I watch the performance as I anxiously wait for Mercedes' to come out, thankfully she comes out a minute later and I smile a little as I watch her sing
I can't lie and say the girl that Mr.Shue picked my girl isn't terrible, that doesn't mean he isn't biased to all hell
I smile as they shift songs and the guys come on stage with the girls, i look over to Sebastian anxiously before looking back to the stage and try to enjoy Mercedes' performance
She looks happy singing the sing, makes me kind of worry about her treatment at school but she's told me everything, I see the guys standing up and I do the same as we all dance to the song
I sway a bit as I see Mercedes make eye contact with me and she winks at me making me smile and my anxiety go down a bit
The song ends and I clap my hand with a smile present on my face, Mercedes smiles at me and I do the same before motioning for her to meet me in the back and she nods
The guys and I head to the back and I wait a little behind and tell them I'm heading to the bathroom running off to the opposite direction, I look around aimlessly as I try not to get caught but her group since they could be anywhere
"Baby" I hear behind me causing me to turn around and see Mercedes, I immediately run to her and hug her tightly and she does the same
"Baby I saw your face when the performance ended, what's wrong" She says and I look around
"Sebastian...he knows..I don't know how but he knows about us and he's blackmailing me and saying he'll expose me but I didn't know with what until before you came on" I say freaking out and running my hands through my hair
"Oh my god....ok uh well we definitely have to talk after this about this because why would he blackmail you...for now just please reason with him" She says and I can tell she's scared too, I immediately wrap my arms around her and pull her close
"I'm not gonna let him get to you ok....and I'll handle it, I'm gonna protect you from this and make sure he doesn't release it publicly" I say
"But you'll be in trouble with the Warblers" Mercedes says worriedly and I cup her face
"It'll be worth it" I say and she smiles at me
"Come here baby, I can tell you still anxious" She says and pulls me into a quick kiss before pulling my head into her neck and I immediately relax
"Well look what we have here" I hear causing my stomach to drop as I raise my head and see not only the Warblers and Sebastian but the FUCKING NEW DIRECTIONS staring at us in disbelief
"Fuck" Mercedes and I say at the same time, I see Sebastian looking at me smugly as the warblers behind him look betrayed, I look to the New Directions and they look furious and shocked minus Kurt and Blaine who look at us sympathetically
"Mercedes' we need to have a group meeting, Now" An Older guy from earlier says to Mercedes'
"Yea, we need to have one too Kai" Sebastian says and before Mercedes' and I can say anything, our groups pull us apart and into different directions
I look to Mercedes' sadly as she does the same
We're screwed
A/n short chapter only because the next part is going to probably be lengthy and will make this chapter like 4000 words or something
