Chapter 14

*a few hours later*

Annabeth Pov

I woke up to the sound of the horn blowing for dinner. I slowly got to my feet and grabbed my cloak as I went down the stairs to the living room. The others were already up and were waiting for me to come down. "Alright let's go eat," I said walking to the door and pulling up my dark hood.

When we got to the mess hall, everyone turned to stare at us. I just walked to an open area and made a table for us to sit at; tables weren't as hard as cabin's so only I could do it myself. We sat down and waited for the food to come to us. "Who are you?" a familiar voice snarled from behind me. I cringed but slowly stood up and turned to see the whores that took our earthly lives from us. Because of them I never contacted my biological father and never got to see my half brothers grow up.

"Do I really have to explain this again?" I huffed. I motioned for Will to stand up. "You explain, I'm tired of it." I said while sitting back down. While he was explaining to her I secretly looked at our life stealers. Each of them was looking at us with disgust. Cally however was only looking at me, I always knew she hated me right from the start.

Will had finished with introductions when Natalie suddenly said "the wind spirits won't bring you food you know. They aren't coming back; you have to go get the food from the front now."

"Why aren't they coming to us? They used to do it." Castor spoke up.

"I thought none of you came to camp before," Cally said eyeing us.

"Oh, well Red and Hunter have but the rest of us haven't," I spoke before Castor could make himself look any more foolish. I shot him a glare that told him to shut up and stop talking about when he was here.

"Well then who are you? I'm sure some of us would have remembered you," Lexi purred.

"No one would have remembered us; we di...left a long time ago." He said almost slipping up and telling them that he died. We all stood up and silently went to the table with food. As we went to the fire for the gods I spoke to the others in our mind link. Give the food to Chaos, he may not like but it if he doesn't, I pray he'll tell us. But please don't give any to your parent until you reveal yourself. I said not looking any of them in the face as I scraped my food into the fire. "For Father Chaos, please tell me if you don't want us to do this," I whispered.

We headed back to the table I had made for us. We ate in silence, me looking at everyone noticing that all of the campers were sitting at their parent's tables, except the head campers and the gods and goddesses living at camp. Meaning that Natalie, Cally, Dixie, Ian, and Lexi, along with the rest of the head campers were at a long table looking over everyone. I noticed that Natalie, Cally, Dixie, Ian, and Lexi looked extremely happy while sitting up there next to some campers I've never met.

Each of the new ones were unknown to me, must have joined after I left. The one sitting next to Cally was the one who asked who Chaos was. Taking a closer look at him I noticed he wasn't happy, and his skin was pale: it didn't look natural- at all. The boy next to Natalie was blond and wearing glasses he too looked unhappy. The one next to Dixie was Hispanic and had curly brown hair all over the place his face was grease stained as well as his fidgeting hands. Lexi sat next to a large man I could only describe as baby faced Canadian man. The last boy was next to Ian and was clad in all black and had a very deadly aura around him he was clearly unhappy with his current situation. In fact everyone looked extremely unhappy like it was the worst years of their lives, except for those five. I'm going to have to ask someone about this. I thought to myself.
