Chapter 32

Calypso Pov

I awoke to pain, that was all I felt. Pain and a wood surface holding me in a sitting position. Wait, what? I forced my eyes open and looked around. Next to me was Hazel, bound in a wooden chair like the one I was in. As I looked farther I saw Annabeth, Piper and Will in the same situation. Only Annabeth was awake with me.

"Are you ok?" she asked in her scratchy, post wounded and passed out voice.

I nodded and cleared my throat as best I could. "What happened?" I squeaked out.

"Cally took me by surprise, she stabbed one way and I didn't see the other one coming." She ducked her head, ashamed.

"Hey it's not your fault, we each made mistakes while fighting. Let's just hope that the rest of the campers and warriors are safe." She sighed. I looked around the large cave like room. It had a high ceiling and a large door way that seemed to lead into another room. From my seat I couldn't see into the room but I heard people moving around.

"I just hope they're all right and reinforcements came soon. I called for some but they might still be far off." She sighed again and sat up straighter. She winced in pain at the movement but kept going anyways. "How's Will? I can't really see him right now." I turned my head to the right. He was breathing but had dried blood on his forehead.

"He's got a head wound. Other than that he's good. How's Hazel?" I could only see her mop of curly brown hair.

"Shoulder wound, probably passed out from blood loss. It's tied up but badly she should be ok, she needs ambrosia though." I could hear the worry in her voice for the daughter of Pluto.

I silently hoped the others wouldn't awaken so they wouldn't feel any of the pain that their wounds had inflicted on them. But they did wake up, each groaning in pain, but pushing through and ignoring it until it decreased, however slightly.

"Yay, you're all awake!" a light chime-like voice said. Soon after Dixie came skipping in through the door. She turned back to the door, "guys they're awake!" She turned to us and smiled a sickeningly sweet smile. My lip snarled in disgust. "Aww, now don't be like that Calypso, I'm not that mean." Her smile grew with malice, "to others at least." She gave a loud laugh, bending over and holding her stomach.

The others came in slowly, first was Cally followed by Natalie, Ian, and Lexi. They came and joined a still giggling Dixie. Cally stood in front of them all, like the leader of a wolf pack. "I'm glad you're up. Now comes the fun part." Her smile was one I never really wanted to see. On her or anyone else.
