I decided not to think too hard about it but something definitely seems off about him.

I don't know what though, it's hard to tell because he's such a dull texter.

I sigh about the fact I have to walk since my parents are at work and they can't drive me but it's fine.

I grab some headphones and put my shoes on before leaving the house. I press play on my hype playlist to get me motivated for this 5 minute walk.

After an intense power walk and a listen to Kiwi by Harry Styles I arrive at Matt's house.

I wipe the thin layer of sweat off my forehead and fix my hair before knocking on the door.

"Hey Scarlett, what are you doing here?" Nick asks as he answers the door, letting me inside.

"Matt asked me to come over" I smile as he shuts the front door behind me.

"You sound out of breath?" Nick questions me with a look of concern all over his face as we walk to the kitchen

"I power walked over here"

"My god? Why?" He asks in pure disgust.

I agree power walking is definitely not something I would ever consider until today.

"My parents are at work and I thought why not get a little cardio in" I shrug my shoulders as Nick's jaw drops.

"CARDIO?! WHO ARE YOU?"

"Never again. I felt like a soccer mom who discovered there was a sale at Macy's and power walked to the mall as fast as she could" I sigh out of disappointment towards myself.

Nick shakes his head in disbelief as Matt walks in the room.

"Hey" I smile at him as he furrows his eyebrows at Nick's facial expression.

"Hey, whats going on?" He asks me with a smile.

"She power walked over here...FOR CARDIO"
Nick yells still processing.

"Cardio? What the fuck?"

"SHOCKING" Nick gasps as I roll my eyes. "What are you guys going to do?"

"Play roblox" Matt mumbles with a deadpan.

"Really?" Nick gasps with hope as I try hard to keep my laugh in.

"No Nick you idiot go watch the kardashians or something" Matt points towards the living room instructing him to leave.

"Oo I wanna watch the Kardashians-" I smile before Matt cuts me off.

"No I wanna talk to you" He glances at me signaling to go upstairs.

I don't question it and follow his instructions and begin heading up the stairs as I hear Nick mumble a quick "Boring" before Matt shuts his bedroom door behind us.

"What's up?" I smile as we both sit down on his bed.

"Theres something I wanna talk to you about that I feel Is eating me alive" He begins with a shaky breath.
