Chapter 47

"Halla" Eriss yells as her and ash walk through my front door.

Granny sue insisted we host a friendsgiving party she wants to spend more time with her so called "little munchkin bears".

Nobody was opposed to the idea.

"WASSUP PARTY PEOPLE" Chris yells as him nick and matt walk in. "Good afternoon granny sue" He smiles as he goes all giddy wrapping granny sue in a hug.

"you know i'm starting to think that isn't a joke anymore"  I whisper to matt and nick referring to chris and granny sue.

"Yeah he definitely is in love with your grandma scar" Nick shakes his head.

"It's definitely one sided though" Matt says.

"I sure hope it is" I look at him with wide eyes.

"Who's ready to start eating" Granny sue claps her hands together with a big smile displayed wide across her face.

"I'm as hungry as a mother fucker" Ash exhales as we make our way to the dinner table.

"That doesn't even make sense ash" Nick glares at him with a questionable facial expression.

"it makes perfect sense" Ash scoffs.

"If it makes perfect sense then who is the hungry mother fuck?" Chris asks.

"I am" Ash says in a duh tone completely offended that Chris even asked that question.

"Damn no need to get all pissy over it. we get it ash you are a hungry mother fuck so why don't we cure that situation by feeding the hungry mother fuck some food" Eriss rolls her eyes at the pointless argument.

"Okay enough with the bickering and foul language" Granny sue says as she sits down next to chris.

"Sorry granny sue" Chris kisses up to her as we all begin putting food on our plates.

"Scarlett and Matt come in the kitchen and help me clean up" Granny she says as she begins clearing our empty plates of the table.

Ash literally ate everything. I guess he really was a hungry mother fuck.

"I have a proposition" Granny she smiles as Matt and I get to the kitchen. "I'll get out of your hair if you want to spend the night Matt"

Matt and I instantly share the same confused look before she elaborates.

"You're parents are out of town, i leave in the morning so i'm going to get my stuff together and go meet up with some of my old gal pals so no interruptions" She winks at us.

I look at Matt to see what he's thinking, his eyes are wide and his jaw has fallen open a little.

"Sounds fun thanks" I smile at my grandma before grabbing Matt's wrist and yanking him away and out of the kitchen.

"Hey you don't have to if you don't want to" I whisper to him.

"No i want to it was just surprising that she offered" He shakes his head still baffled.

"she's one hell of a woman" Eriss peaks around the corner clearly hearing the whole conversation we just had.

"Granny sue do you have to go back to california?" Chris groans as he enters the kitchen.

"i'm sorry sugar plum but the cats need my attention. You bunch should come back and visit me for new years" Granny sue suggests causing all of our heads to sharply turn in her direction.

"you mean it?" I ask her

"of course i do i miss having all your company around the house" She places her hand on her heart.

"so i'm gonna go home and start packing" Chris begins pacing around the room.

"aww you're too funny christopher" Granny sue laughs at his flustered state.

"Eriss and I gotta go dinner was so good" Ash declares.

"thank you so much granny sue we will hopefully see you soon" Eriss hugs her goodbye

"Safe travels" Ash waves as they walk out the front door.

"such sweethearts" granny sue whispers to herself.

"we should probably get going too matt i want to spawn in my bed right now" Nick complains.

"NO I DONT WANNA GO" Chris yells clearly not ready to leave granny sue.

"It will be okay christopher we will meet again so soon." she comforts him in a warm embrace.

Nick and Matt hug her goodbye before matt approaches me. "I'll go drop them home and grab my shit and i'll be right back, gives you a private chance to say bye to your grandma" Matt whispers.

"okay don't take too long though i'll miss you" i laugh 

"BYE GRANNY SUE I LOVE YOU FOREVER" Chris yells as Nick and Matt practically force him out the door.

"Aww my baby Scarlett it's always so much fun with you and your friends" Granny sue frowns.

"I'm gonna miss you so much" I wrap her in a tight hug.

"This isn't goodbye honey we will meet again sooner than you know" She whispers words of comfort to me.

"I know but the goodbyes always suck" I roll my eyes concealing my tears.

I have so much love for my grandma and being apart from her even if she's just a flight away is always the hardest thing i have to face.

"i'm off to grab my stuff go get settled and I will see you very soon my dear" She kisses my forehead before disappearing up stairs.

After a long wait and a heavy goodbye granny sue is gone and the front door opens revealing Matt on the other end.

"You alright?" he asks referring to the departure of my grandma.

"Yeah i'm okay" I smile as i wrap him in a tight embrace.

I'll always be okay when Matt is with me.

so hello there
it's okay if yall forgot about me i know i have some explaining to do.

I haven't updated since last june which i know is totally frustrating. I had a lot going on last summer in my personal life which restricted my writing time.

Throughout this last year i was going through the process of senior year of high school and focused on college apps and ap tests and graduation and all that fun stuff.

My goal is to finish this fic before i start college in late august. I hope you guys aren't too mad at me.

I apologise again for my absence and wish you all the best.
