You yawned and streched on the bed after waking up on a late morning. You turned your head to the side and sighed when Steven wasn't there. Again.
You were getting used to it. You and him started dating a few months ago and so far there wasn't a morning after you two spent the night together that he was there when you woke up.
You knew it was because of his "side job". Well, at least you thought it was because of it. After about the fourth time that he wasn't there, you asked him why. Maybe he changed his mind and didn't want to be with you? First you were afraid asking him, you weren't ready for that kind of heartbreak.
Fortunately he quickly reassured you that it wasn't the case. He said he would be the happiest man on earth if he could stay the night and wake up next to you, to hold you in his arms, to kiss away the sleep from your eyelids and whisper good morning to you.
But there was another aspect of his life you needed to know about. Another side of him. It was hard for him to open up to you about him. You took the news of him being some kind of a "superhero" pretty well, but this was a completely different story. But you were amazing and caring and loving, and you listened to him fully, trying to understand how his and this other alter's system worked. You weren't afraid of him, nor this Marc he was telling you about.
