Summary: Marc and Steven thought that after defeating Harrow and Ammit, the world and especially London will be finally safe. They soon realize that the city under their protection is going through dark times, when more and more dead bodies start to appear in different parts of the town.
A/N: Its not that dark like the summary make it seem to be. Kind of inspired by Blade. Reader is half a vampire, capable of walking in daylight, and she can both consume food and blood.

You sat on the couch, reading the news on your phone with a frown on your face. Searching for vampire activites was kinda hard, considering there weren't many blood suckers in the world, and they hunted after the sun disappeared from the sky. Regular humans still think they only exist in myths and tales, and horror movies, but the disturbing truth is that they are very much real.
Your mom was bitten by one of them while she was heavily pregnant with you, and the vampire venom activated fast, no matter how quickly the doctors performed a c-section on her. She lost too much blood and died within seconds after the operation, making you an orphan, since no one was coming for her or for you to the hospital.
You soon realized you weren't like the other kids: liking to stay inside and having hours long naps while they were out in the sun playing, and wandering the corridors of the orphanage during the nights was only the lesser of the problem, having a rather unhealthy obsession with blood was a bigger red flag.
You were in your early teens when you decided to leave the orphanage to find out what is wrong with you. You remember asking the pedagogues about your parents when you were younger, but they only could tell you the name of your mom and the name of the hospital you were born in, so the first step of your new life led you to one of the offices in the hospital, searching for the date of the fateful day you were born, between the folders.
