"Are you ready, Kakashi?" Guy spoke calmly, trying to hide his nervousness. He stood behind Kakashi, wearing a sleek black kimono. It was early in the evening, and the summer breeze blew against the leaves. The delicate glow of the descending sun and the exquisite clouds create a picturesque painting. A fluid mixture of blue, red, orange, and pink enveloped them from above. "Stand tall, my friend. You're getting married. This is your new life."
Kakashi looked up at the sky, the Hokage mountain at the horizon line, feeling the breeze against his hair. He wore a black and white tuxedo-like kimono. They were at one of the village's main parks. He felt oddly serene, at peace. "Ready as I'll ever be. Thank you, Guy, for always being there."
"That's what friends do. I'll always come running for you. I always have your back."
"I'm finally doing it, huh?"
"You're finally doing it. Took you long enough."
"Ah, young love." Hiruzen Sarutobi interjected, standing across from Kakashi as an officiant. "You two have come across some great obstacles, but have only blossomed because of that. I must say, I admire you two. I believe your parents are happy."
"Me too. There's no need to be nervous."
"I'm not." Kakashi shrugged,
"Cocky as always." Guy rolled his eyes, "Hey, she's here."
He swivelled to face the other direction, towards her. Now he was nervous, his breath hitched, and his heart was about to leap off his chest. His surroundings blurred and all he focused on was her. He kind of forgot whether to inhale or exhale first, so he just held his breath. He fell hard for her, harder than ever before. It felt like he was free-falling from thirty-three thousand feet. His pupils had dilated like he had just injected drugs into his veins.
Akira walked towards him with Iruka linked by the arm. She wore a white elegant wedding kimono, with loose hems on the sleeve. Her feet were hidden by the length of her clothing, making it seem like she was floating above the ground. Her lightly powdered face and a soft shade of light red for her lipstick just bring out the piercing colour in her eyes. She wore a sophisticated bun with a cherry blossom flower attached. She gave Kakashi a closed-eye smile when she caught him ogling her.
"You look stunning, sis!" Iruka whispered, "Are you nervous?"
"Actually no."
"That's good. I'm so glad." He patted her arm, "But I am."
"Thank you, Iruka." She had a special smile, which Iruka had never seen before. "My silly little brother."
"Look, Kakashi-senpai is about to wet himself." Couldn't miss the opportunity,
"Shut up! Stop that!"
Iruka gave her a squeeze before handing her over to Kakashi, biting on his tongue as he held back his tears. "You make sure she's happy and loved. She's my sister. S-she means a lot to me."
"All right, Spiky." Kakashi winked as he took her hand, "You can trust me."
"Hi, handsome!" She greeted with a chuckle,
"Akira?" He managed to spew out, captured by her beauty. Words were stuck in his throat, and he just lost himself in her presence. He might actually burst into tears at any given moment "I... You... Y-you're beautiful! My Akira!"
"Shall we proceed?" The Third Hokage giggled,
"Yes, Lord Third." Their hands intertwined as Kakashi responded, "We're ready."
"Well, it seems like the family has been gathered here." The Hokage addressed everyone. There weren't many people but everyone holds a significant place in both their hearts. That was what their intention was in the first place. "I guess I should start then. We've gathered here for the holy matrimony of Kakashi Hatake and Akira Haru."
