Jake had offered to take the puppies to a special place for camping. That wouldn't have been a big deal if it wasn't winter right now. „No I promise they won't sleep in the cold." Ryder had been asking Jake questions, but eventually let them go. „And remember, I want at least one text once a day. If not, I'll hack your phone" he had said to Jake before they left. Now they were on their way to the special place. „I can't believe we are doing this! A whole week without Ryder!" „I know right?! So cool!" It was the paw patrols first time to go camping without Ryder so far away from home. And for one entire week.

„And how did you get Ryder to agree?" Jake chuckled. „Everest, why don't you tell them?" „Jake discussed it with Ryder. How exactly, I don't know but I think Jake has his ways." „That doesn't explain why he allowed you to drive the paw patroller. Let alone take Robo dog with us." It turned nighttime and they were still driving. At least Robo dog was, for Jake and the rest of the puppies were asleep. Only Marshall and Everest were still awake. „What a coincidence..." „You think? Anyway... how well do you know Ryder?" „Well..." Marshall thought for a second.

It felt a bit suspicious that Ryder allowed all of this. „I was the second puppy to be adopted... so I'd say pretty well. Not as good as Chase, but you get what I mean." Everests grey blue eyes searched contact with Marshall's blue eyes. Suddenly, a turquoise light shone through the windows. „What is that?" „Northern lights, Marshall! Look how pretty they are!" Everest wagged her tail in excitement. She loved watching northern lights, as it made her feel calm. „Wow... I... am speechless..." Marshall said. The beautiful light show woke up the others. „What the?" Jake rubbed his eye, he was still sleepy. „Jake! Northern lights!" Marshall and Everest spoke simultaneously, waking up the rest in the process.

„That means we are close to our destination."
Jake stated and the puppies fell asleep again. This time, Marshall and Everest fell asleep too. Everest cuddled as close to Marshall as possible and his sent und her nose, she fell asleep. When they woke up again, they had already arrived at the special camping side: Jake had rented a cabin in the middle of nowhere. There was snow everywhere and Marshall slowly opened his eyes. „Wake up sleepy head, we want to go outside!" „Geez, calm down Everest" he said and once he was outside, Marshall saw why Everest was so hyped: the landscaping was similar to her home.

„How about, we play hide and seek?" „Good idea Rubble!" „Chase, don't you think your sense of smell is cheating?" „Nah, I'll stay here and make sure everyone gets found. Otherwise Ryder sir is gonna turn into Lucifer himself." Rockey was chosen to count first. They ran to different hiding spots, Marshall followed Everest and they hid in a snow hole Everest made. „It might be a little small..." „I don't mind being close to you."

„Hey Marshall?" „Yes?" „I know this is out of the blue, but I can't keep it to myself anymore" Everest whispered. She and Marshall sat side by side in the little snow hole, hiding from Rockey, who had already found Skye. „What's wrong Everest?" „I-I love you Marshall..." she looked away, as Marshall probably wouldn't answer her feelings. „I love you too..." Marshall slowly said. „Found you lovebirds!" Rockey yelled. He had no idea how right he was.
