„Why are we on the way to Jake?" „Because you'll spend the night there." Marshall was trapped now. He was sitting on Ryders ATV, with no way of escape and on his way to his crush. After the short drive, Ryder stood in front of Jakes door. „Look what we have here. Come in you two!" „Thanks Jake." „No problem Ryder. Everest! Marshall is here!" Everest immediately pulled Marshall aside to talk with him. „You didn't lie Jake. The air in here is just as heavy as the air in the lookout." „Hmm... by the way, I gotta show you something." „Really?!"

While Jake and Ryder were occupied, Marshall and Everest were watching a movie. „Do you have any idea why we are left on our own?" „No. But I do know something else that is really interesting." Marshall gasped, his nervousness was gone. „Spill the tea Everest!" „You really wanna hear?" „Yes!" the husky girl chuckled and teased Marshall a little, by saying that it involves Ryder and Jake. „Okay? But what about them?" Everest whispered it into Marshall's ear. She watched in amusement how Marshall's jaw hit the floor. „Nah, you are kidding!" „I am serious! They are!" „You are kidding me." „I am not, they really are!"

Marshall kept denying that fact for the next thirty minutes. „But it is true. You can ask them yourself if you'd like." „No thanks." Marshall and Everest shared a few laughs. „Marshall, there is something I want to tell you." „Okay? I am all ears." „I love you Marshall. I understand if you don't feel the same, but I thought it would be best if I get it off my chest." Marshall pulled Everest closer to him, nuzzling into her fur. He muttered something, but it was a bit hard to understand. „I love you too." he said a bit louder, and Everest licked his ears. „You have no idea for how long I have kept that a secret." she said, her grey-blue eyes held a mixture of emotions.

The next morning, Ryder came to collect Marshall. „You won't believer Ryder! Our plan worked!" „No way, let me see!" Jake showed a picture to Ryder, whose eyes turned pink. „I smell it too." he whispered, but then showed Jake the picture he took. „Aww~ they match!" „Right?" Ryder asked but then, Marshall came to the door. „You ready to go back home?" „Yes. But I have a question." „Sure." „Are you and Jake brothers?"

Ryder answered him with a gentle smile. „We are twins to be exact." „Eh? But Jake...." „I am not older. Ryder is just short." „Hah?!" Jake shoved Marshall out of the door, closing it quickly. Ryder scoffed and the told Marshall to hurry up.
