Chase looked for clues to try and solve the mystery of Ryders disappearance, when Skye walked in.

„Chase? Are you still looking for clues?" „Yeah...It was so suddenly. From one moment to the other he was gone. No signal from his pup pad, no clues, not even witnesses. The only thing we know, is that he must have vanished in this area." Chase said and put his paw on a map, pointing to a circled area. Skye sighed and licked the spot between Chases ears. „We all miss him Chase, but you can't be working all the time. Come on, maybe we can take a walk around the city." She stopped liking his ears and looked into his eyes. As much as she missed Ryder too, she hoped that a walk around the city would cheer her and Chase up. „You're right. I guess we can go." He muttered and followed Skye downstairs. They decided to walk and told Marshall and the others that they'd be in the town. „Don't get pupnapped!" Zuma yelled. If Ryder was still here, it would have been a joke, but it wasn't. They had absolutely no clue on what happened and where exactly. In town, they found Katie outside her house. She was on her phone and talking to someone. „Hello Katie!" „Chase! Skye! It is so nice to see you. Are you doing okay?" „Yeah...Jake and Everest have moved in with us. Right now they are grocery shopping." Skye said and Katie gave her an understanding nod. „I just don't get it. It feels like he disappeared into nothing." „Maybe he did?" „Katie?!" „Sorry" Katie apologized but she hoped Ryder was still out there and alive. Skye and Chase went to the park, were they had some time for themselves. „Chase? Are you okay?" „Yes, why?" „I don't know. I felt like I had to ask..." they sat together underneath a tree and Skye licked Chases ears again. Chase enjoyed it quietly while he still thought of what Katie said. Can someone disappear into nothingness? „Skye, do you think Katie knows something?" „Why?" „She was on the phone and talking to someone and then she acted all nervous when we said hello." „Chase, you are overthinking. Katie would never do such thing. She is just as devastated as we are, considering she what she told me and Everest on our girls night..." Chase looked at Skye in surprise. „You had a girls night with her?" „And Everest." „What did she say?" „Calm down. It is not much of a big deal." Skye had stopped licking Chases ears and now rubbed her cheek on his. „We played some truth or dare, told us about our crushes and our secrets. Y'know? The normal stuff." „Really?" „Promise." Chase paused for a second. Maybe Katie had been talking to the police when she was on the phone and he was really just overthinking. Or... "Skye, do you think we'll see him again?" "I hope so. From what I know and have seen, I know that he is a tough guy." "I love you Skye..." Chase said, licking her ears. "I love you too."
