„Chase, I need to talk with you." Ryder said. It was a beautiful summer day in Adventure Bay and the puppies played in the lookouts yard. Chase, the German Shepard and police puppy, ran to Ryder. „What is it Ryder sir?" „Follow me." Ryder lead Chase to his room. Once again, Chase couldn't help but notice the frighteningly handsome appearance of his owner. „Do you know why I pulled you aside to talk?" „No?"  Ryder sighed and leaned against his desk. „I have noticed the way you look at Skye. There is no need to lie to me Chase, I am not mad. In fact, I support you." Chased gulped. Were his feelings towards Slye really that obvious? „Now, what's stopping you from telling her?" „I... I don't even know if she likes me back. And even if she liked me, when is a good time to tell her?" Ryder smiled softly and picked Chase up from the ground.

„Let me show you something Chase." The little puppy was placed on the desk and Ryder took a few steps back. Delicate horns grew from Ryders head, his ears grew a little pointy, his eyes turned a beautiful pink and he grew fangs. „What the..?" „Don't worry Chase. It's not the full form. Otherwise you'd go crazy." Chase took a few seconds to process what he was seeing. „Are you a demon?" „An incubus to be exact." „But what does this have to do with me?" „Could you piece it together if I told you that an incubus is a demon of lust?" Ryder patiently waited for Chase to puzzle it together. The minutes passed, and Ryder could almost see the loading sign above Chases head.

„Oh my god, you can tell when people are in love..." „Ding ding ding, hundred points for you Chase. And please refrain from mentioning him around me." „Who? God?" „Exactly. Anyways, like you said, I can tell when beings are in love. I can smell it to be exact. And let me tell you, being around one of you when you are thinking about the other makes the air heavy. So just go ahead and tell her, because I am sick and tired of breathing in this heavy ass air!"

„But when would be a good time?" „I'll set something up if you'd like." just like Ryder promised, he set something up. While Rockey, Rubble and Zuma where with Katie, Ryder himself gave Chase the okay. „I will be with Jake for a while. Remember, you don't say anything about my, or rather our, secret." „Yes Ryder sir." and with that, Ryder and Marshall were on their way to Ryders best friend.

„Chase, where are the others?" „They'll be back soon." Chase said, sitting down across from Skye. Her scent was overwhelming, yet it made him nervous. If she really liked him back, he had nothing to loose, right? „Skye?" „Yes?" „I need to tell you something." „What is it?" Skye asked, tilting her head slightly. „There is something I have kept a secret for way too long now. I just wanna get this out of the way and off of my chest." „Go ahead. I am listening." „I... I love you Skye." Chase lowered his gaze, until he felt Skye lay down next to him. „I love you too. I just didn't know how to tell you." she admitted, cuddling close to Chase.

A little while later, Ryder came back from his visit. He took notice of Chase and Skye sleeping so close together. „Finally I can breathe normally again." he whispered to himself. But then he quickly took a picture of them. „I can't wait to show this to Jake!"
