I woke up. I turned to see Jonah passed out asleep. I then leaned over and kissed his cheek.
"Where are you going?" Jonah asked through closed eyes.
Jonah pulled me back onto the bed and began to tickle me. Jonah then kissed my neck.
"I have to go to work," I whined.
"Oh, you still have to do that?" He asked.
"Yeah, unfortunately."
"BOO!"
I turned around and looked at him.
"Hi," I said.
I kissed him. I got up and then looked at the closet. It then came to me. It's been three days since this all began, and I have not had a change of clothes since then. I didn't notice I was staring at the closet until Jonah said something.
"What?"
"I don't have clothes," I explained.
"What?"
"All my clothes were lost in the fire at the old house."
"Oh shit."
"Let me text Anya."
I then sat back down on the bed. Jonah then moved toward me and kissed my shoulder.
"You know what?" He asked.
"What?" I responded.
"Once this is all over, I'll take you on the nicest date."
I smiled at him.
"I care about you, stupid," I said.
"I care about you more, stupid." He responded.
I leaned over and kissed him. I grabbed my phone from the side table.
"Hey, can you come here, please?" I texted Anya.
"Of course, I'll be right there," Anya responded.
I then laid back down on the bed. Anya then opened the front door to the guest house. I turned to see Jonah was asleep again. I got up, headed to the kitchen, and closed my bedroom door.
"Hey, what's up?" Anya asked.
"I don't have clothes," I responded.
"What?"
"I lost all of my clothes in the fire."
"Oh shit, right."
"I would love to take a shower."
Anya was silent for a second, looking around like her mind was racing.
"I'll take you to buy clothes," Anya said.
"I don't have any money," I explained.
"I'll pay."
"Wait?"
"What were you expecting?"
"I don't know, possibly borrowing your clothes."
"Oh...yeah, no, I'm buying you and Jonah clothes."
"No, I can't do that to you."
"We are doing this; you've been through a lot."
"But-"
"No, wake up, your boyfriend, we are going."
I hugged Anya.
"Thank you," I said.
"Of course," Anya responded.
