I got off the floor and left the room.
"Where are you going?" Anya asked.
"The Bathroom," I responded.
"I...think you should tell him."
I then stopped in my tracks.
"Someone's after me; how do I know I'm not going to get killed over it? Even worse, something to happen to you and Jonah."
"That's not going to happen."
"Someone caused two fires to scare me away and hurt the people I love."
"What are you going to do about it?"
"I'm going to solve who murdered Leah."
Anya then hugged me.
"What?" I asked.
"I'm proud of you," Anya responded.
I then hugged Anya back.
"Can I go pee now?" I asked.
"Yes," Anya responded.
Anya let go of the hug. I headed to the bathroom. I sat on the toilet and pulled out my phone.
"Hey," I said.
"What's up?" Jonah responded.
"I just want to say, if anything was to happen to me...protect the evidence."
"I-I just have a bad feeling."
"Okay."
"Love you."
"I love you too, nerd."
I hung up. I took a minute. He loves me. Oh my god! I needed to get back to work, so I headed back to the closet.
"Are you okay?" Anya asked.
"Yeah," I responded.
Anya left the room. Somehow I managed to organize the closet, which took the whole day. The cabinet was a complete mess when I walked in. When I finished up, Anya walked into the room.
"You're off," Anya explained.
"Okay, cool," I responded.
"I'll see you tomorrow."
"Night."
"Night."
I began to walk back to the guest house. I felt like there were eyes on me. I opened the door to see a panicked Jonah.
"Oh, thank god." Jonah wrapped his arms around me. "You gave me a heart attack."
"I'm sorry," I responded.
"What happened?"
Jonah grabbed my waist.
"Well, the person I assume to be my grandma looked at me like a ghost. My dad is extremely nosy and might be on to us, and Anya is just Anya." I explained.
"Rough first day, huh?" Jonah asked.
I shook my head. He pulled me closer and kissed my forehead.
"Let's go to bed," Jonah said.
"What about?-" I asked.
"No, we will talk tomorrow."
"I love you, stupid."
I kissed Jonah. We headed to our room and lay down. He held me.
