Continued right from the last chapter...

"You want to get out of here?"

I nodded so fast I felt my updo loosen. "Go say bye to your family first."

He handed me his car keys and then left. I waited 20 seconds before leaving and going straight to his car.

He came 10 minutes later. "They wouldn't let me leave," he huffed, buckling himself in.

"What excuse did you give them?"

"That I was meeting Nikhil and some friends. My grandma was being persistent but then I complained about how I'm working so hard to make her precious Indian cricket team proud and I needed a break. She caved and let me go," he snickered.

"She's a fan?"

"My biggest," he nodded softly.

"So where are we going?" I opened my window to let the warm air in, letting me hair down. It flung my strands everywhere, but it was my favourite feeling in the world.

"Your hotel?"

"Armaan, this car is too conspicuous," I reminded him.

"I have an idea," he said, typing an address into his phone. As we get into old Dubai and closer to my hotel, he pulled into a diamond shop. I could see my hotel from here. He asked me to wait outside for a few minutes. When he came back, he held out a hand for me and started walking towards my hotel.

"You're just going to leave your car there?"

"It's a shop owned by an old friend of dad's. I told him I'm staying at a friend's house and there's no parking there. He doesn't mind. It's 24/7 guarded so we're good."

"Staying at a friend's house? I don't remember agreeing to that."

He didn't answer, just threw his arm around my neck and pulled me into his side. We walked in happy silence to my hotel.

"Naina?" he spoke as we reached the elevator.

"Yes?"

"Shall we go on a honeymoon?"

"When? Don't you start your training season soon?"

"Yes," he frowned.

"I think I'll fly back on Sunday. When will you come?"

"With you?"

"Armaan," I turned to face him as we reached my hotel room door. "You shouldn't leave your family like this. You only get so much time with them."

"Oh please, I've been here for two weeks with them. I need a break from the chaos," he took my key card out of my hand and opened the door. Before I could react, he swooped down and took me into his arms.

I held on for dear life as he kicked the door shut and walked towards the bed. I saw the glint in his eyes and braced myself for what I knew he was going to do next.

He threw me onto the bed, laughing freely, and jumping onto it with me. I laughed with him, delighting in his mischievousness.

He threw his suit jacket on to the floor. I leaned up against the headboard and enjoyed watching him slowly unbutton his shirt.

He raised one eyebrow at me, watching me watch him. "Are you just going to watch or would you like to participate as well?"

I grinned shamelessly. "Nope, please continue."

My eyes opened when it was still dark outside the window, but I checked my phone to see it was just a few minutes before the Fajr azaan would go off. I shifted lightly, stretching out my numb leg and getting comfortable again in Armaan's arms. The azaan went off in a nearby Mosque, and Armaan stirred.
