In my career, most of my life, I've had to make some really tough, scary, immediate decisions. None have ever been as confusing as this one.

Hiding in the shadows on the building was Enzo, clear as the cloudless blue sky. The people in the car would not have been able to see him but from the angle I was standing in, I could see him, and the gun tucked into his waist, and the cellphone he was talking on.

Okay Naina, option one: you do your job and catch this guy, risking being seen by whichever family members were in that car, one them who was most likely Armaan based on the shape of the silhouette.

Second option: I let Enzo get away or wait until one of the other agents gets to him, still risking being seen by the people in the car because Namrata will 100% call me to identify that it is Enzo.

Before I wasted a millisecond more in thinking, I kicked into action. I told the two agents with me to get to Enzo as fast as lightning.

"Namrata, Patrick," I spoke into my ear piece. "Enzo is here. South parking lot, by the left side of the building, two agents are approaching."

"Copy," they both responded. I followed behind the agents but didn't storm outside like they did. One of the agents was standing beside the driver's side of the Audi. I could see clearly now it was Armaan in the passenger seat and Safiyana in the driver's side.

I leaned against the wall and groaned a bit too loudly. Just my luck that the only people that would show up to this gym of all the gyms in Dubai were these two.

"Naina, get your ass over here," Namrata screeched into my ear piece.

I punched the wall behind me and pushed the door open. Head down, hair covering one side of my face, focus on the mission. That's how I would get through this.

Enzo had backup and it wasn't looking pretty. He shoved three guys towards us and took off around the building. I yelled for the other agents to catch his accomplices and ran after Enzo. He took a back door and ended up inside the building again.

It was completely dark. I made a small prayer to Allah to keep us all safe and then continued cautiously through the halls.

I heard a small creak down the hall so I took off, following him hot on his tail. He zig-zagged through the building but Patrick cut him off and a swift punch had him down on the ground unconscious.

"You're working a little slow there lass," Patrick smirked, looking patting around for a light switch.

"I'm a bit under the weather," I lied, leaning against the wall uselessly. I let my guard down and Patrick wasn't paying attention either and Enzo bested both of us. I heard an "oof" from Patrick and then I was shoved down onto the floor.

Without waiting for command from Patrick, I took off behind Enzo without wasting a breath. He ran back outside and took off towards the main road. I ran, faster and faster. I needed this to end now so his criminal ass was about to be handcuffed and jailed if it was the last thing I did today.

I jumped over fence and slid across a car, getting closer. Finally, I managed to get close enough to throw a stun bullet at him. He fell on to the ground with a thud and groaned, slowly passing out from the shock.

I popped a squat beside him, catching my breath.

"I'm in some sort of parking lot, behind a diamond shop, approximately 5 kilometers from the gym. Fugitive is contained."

"Copy that," Namarata spoke back. "We'll be there in 5. You good kiddo?"

"I'm good."

I got up and dragged Enzo under a tree. There was enough shade that if someone drove by from the main street, it would just look like someone was sitting against the tree. I hid behind the stump and waited for my team to show up.
