Chapter 13

Luna Pov

Waking up in my room I felt frighten at the unfamiliar surroundings and my leg wounds were starting to hurt as well.

I called out to my father but got no response. I also called out to my brothers and also got no response. I was hesitant to leave the room but for some reason I really wanted to see them. I made my way slowly but surely out of the room only in my thin new pajamas father gifted me.

I walked around for what felt like forever. I didn't see anyone until I reached a hall where two large men stood outside of big brown double doors.

Their appearance surprised me I knew I had wondered off into an area that was probably forbidden.

One of them started to speak but I was afraid that he would yell or hit me. I took a step back running right into a table knocking over a expensive looking item. When it broke into pieces I was horrified.

Doing what I know best to do in this type of situation I drop to my knees and apologize immediately. I try to hold my tears back but I'm too weak I always end up crying.

The double doors are swung open but I know better than to lift my head. I continue with my sincere apology forgetting all about Mattia and Gio telling me that I never have to apologize again.

The first voice I recognize is my father I can hear him asking the men what happen. As they explained to him that I'm a clumsy fool I feel a warm hand on my back. I jolt at the sudden touch and when I finally look up I see an unfamiliar face.

His face is sculpted beautifully like he came right out of a picture book. His jet black hair shined causing my eyes to sparkle I was too taken aback to speak.

"Are you alright? lets get you back to bed" he said as he picked me up carrying me away from the scene.

I peaked over his shoulder to see father, my brothers and grandparents looking at us with different expressions mostly confusion and anger? I couldn't tell really.

"Tony Accardo" he said. He looked straight at me while carrying me to my room. How did he know where it was? I looked at him with a confused look but his intense stare made me blush so I looked away.

"Thats my name I'm a family friend, your padre asked me to be your bodyguard. Which means I'm here to protect you I won't let anything bad happen to you" he said as he stroked my hair.

I was shocked at the sudden contact but for some reason I didn't feel scared around him. I wanted to believe his words but I won't be fooled easily. I don't want to make any rash moves to make him angry.

I also know that if he wasn't a safe person my family wouldn't have him in the house so he has to be good right?

I maybe too trusting of these people.. but it's hard to deny their kind actions and words.

"What are you thinking about little one"? he asked as he pulled the covers over my legs. I was so lost in thought that I didn't even notice us entering the room and him putting me down.

Before I got the chance to answer him my father and brothers burst through the door their eyes aiming at Tony who was tucking me in.

Gio stormed over to him grabbing him by the collar it shocked me greatly.

"What the hell do you think you're doing Accardo"?! he seethed out I was scared I didn't want them to fight.

Tony shook Gio off.

"I'm her shadow, I'm doing my job" he said. I wanted to ask what a shadow was and was he being nice to me just because it's his job? For some reason that made me sad.
