Chapter 31

Luna Pov

It's been a week since I met the rest of my family and we had a lively dinner.

Meeting more people who say they love and care for me makes me feel on top of the world. I've learned so much about what a family truly is since my father took me in.

To say it's the best thing that has ever happened to me would be an understatement. I started my lessons again yesterday and I surprised myself at how much I remember.

The more I learn the more I want to know it's like I always have a question about something. My curiosity of everything has elevated so much.

Ms. Walker continues to praise me on my learning speed. I was told that when we first met she evaluated me I was at a middle schooler level. 

Even though I didn't know how to read or write she said my observation skills were spectacular. That skill has worked in my favor because I catch on to things easier than expected. Reading and writing is still difficult but I practice hard.

My father and brothers said that I was amazing and smart it made me feel proud. Ms. Walker also teaches art lessons and since I've always liked to draw she taught me a few things.

I've been secretly drawing pictures of any and everything. I haven't had the courage to show anyone not even my dad. I was so excited about the beach vacation I couldn't stop drawing the beach just the way I remembered it.

Luckily today is the big day! All of the family will meet at the beach and I'm beyond excited. Mattia helped me order pretty swimsuits.

My dad and brothers made a bigggg deal over the specific type of swimsuit I should wear. Never seeing swimsuits before I was shocked at how much skin would show. I wasn't completely comfortable with that so it took a while before I found the perfect swimwear.

Flashback

"Luna come here for a second." Mattia called me from the living room. I was in the kitchen getting a snack.

"Cominggg."

"Sorellina come sit I want to show you something."

"What is it?" I asked curious.

"Aren't you excited about going on the family beach vacation?"

"Of course!"

"Well sorellina you will need swimsuits for that."

"Suits?" I asked confused.

"Yes, you wear them in the water and they keep you cool in the heat."

"Okay I want it!" I said pumping my fist in the air.

He chuckled at me.

"Okay okay. We will look through some and you pick the ones you like." He said as he should me several swimsuits and what he called other swimwear.

"Everything is so...open" I said looking at the girls wearing swimsuits on his computer.

"You can wear other accessories that cover you up. See." He said pointing them out.

"Ah. I see. So I like these, these and these." I said pointing out a one piece and a matching cover up. I also picked sandals, a hat and glasses.

"What are guys doing?" My dad asked walking in with the rest of my brothers following close behind. I was pleasantly surprised by the last person who entered with them.

Tony.. it's been a long time.

"Hi dad we are shopping for my swimsuit!" I said excitedly.
