Leonardo Pov

After cutting the video off before we wanted to see anything more we all dove into searching for her.

We captured a close member of the Russian mafia and he spilled his guts on their location.

When we arrived my poor figlia was hanging from a ceiling lifeless. I sprung into action cutting her down and checking her pulse.

"She's breathing" I said to the boys as they stood in shock at the sight of her hanging there.

"Let's move"! I said rushing out with her in my arms.

When we got here it was a shoot out but those bastards Anton and Alexei got away.. for now. Little did they know we have our guys hot on their trail.

They can think they got away with this but it's far from over. Right now my main priority is my figlia she needs to get to our hospital asap.

Rushing her inside the hospital she's taken away from me again. This time I won't leave her side no matter what.

Hours passed before she showed signs of waking up. The doctor said she's lucky to be alive and we should expect serious issues with her in the future. At that time my mind was hazy so I couldn't completely comprehend his words.

Not until she finally woke up it was like she didn't recognize me like she hated the sight of me.

She woke up in a daze rubbing her neck it was bruised and sore.

"Don't touch it dolcezza" I said not wanting her to cause harm to herself but when she heard my voice her movements stopped.

When our eyes met she looked at me like she had seen a ghost. Her body shivered and she backed away from me like I was evil.

"What's going on" I thought.

"Get away from me"! She screamed at me

I was stunned to say the least I mean even when we first met she wasn't this afraid just what happened?!

"Dolcezza.." I tried to call out to her.

"Get him out" she yelled and cried.

"Padre... I think you should.. go" Marcello said looking defeated.

Did she really want me out? What had I done? Is it because I let this happen and I didn't protect her?

Her breathing became heretic I wanted to stay but I was forced out. Doctors rushed in and sedated her.

After she was asleep again the boys came out and we all stood in the hallway in silence for what seemed like hours.

"Something isn't right" I said.

"I feel the same" Marcello said.

"Something happened there other than what we seen on the tape" Mattia said scratching his head.

"Before we left that place she was held I took the hard drive from the camera it was still recording when we got there" Gio said.

"We need to see what's on that hard drive" Alessandro said sounding pissed.

"She'll be out for a while probably until the morning we need to go home for now" Andrea said.

We all headed home and when we got there we were greeted with our impatient family including Tony.

"Is she alright"? My madre asked following me around the living room.

"She's alright for now but we don't know the extent of the damage yet" I said running my hands through my greasy hair.
