Ever since Tony has been back home we have grown closer if that's even possible.
He's been stuck to me like glue not letting me out of his sight.
When he was away I found myself constantly looking for him as if he'd pop around the corner. Especially at school where I would see him several times a day.
During his absence, another athletic director stepped in. Saying he's the devil in disguise is an understatement.
Don't get me wrong he's probably a nice guy during his personal time. Yet during class, he's like a drill sergeant.
Maybe I was too used to Tony going easy on me that I found out the hard way.
Climbing out of bed I head to the bathroom to take a shower before class.
I feel quite tired today and decide on a comfortable outfit. Leggings and an oversized sweater will do!
It's snowing and fairly cold outside but I made sure to be warm enough. I can already hear Dad, my brothers, and Tony's mouths exaggerating that I'll get sick or something.
Throwing a baseball cap on I head downstairs for breakfast. I notice a text from Anna as I head into the kitchen.
"Where are you? Class is about to start."
"Crap!" I say as I realize the time I'm surely going to be late.
"Please stall for me! I can't deal with him today!"
"Got it, but hurry he won't be fooled for long."
Remember the devil in disguise I mentioned earlier? Well if you are even ONE minute late he'll make you do something ridiculous.
One time a boy was late two minutes and he had to run the entire class period. Another time a girl was barely late and she received an F for the entire day. I felt bad for her.
My grades are exceptional and I won't let him ruin my plan of straight A's.
I rush into the kitchen and grab a muffin and a class of chocolate milk.
"Hi, guys! Bye, guys! I'm late!" I say to my family as Zoom pass them in and out of the kitchen.
"Be careful," I could hear my dad yelling out as I hop into the backseat of the car.
My driver saw how much of a rush I was in and drove a little faster than usual.
Unfortunately, we pull into the school parking lot, and looking at my clock I'm three minutes late.
I dash down the campus trying not to knock into anyone. Arriving at the gymnasium I open the door and walk inside.
"Look who decided to join us," he immediately causes the attention to fall on me.
"Mr. Rogers, I apologize, I overslept this morning," I said.
"And I do not care, Miss Russo, run until I dismiss you," he said.
I was about to ask for a little bit of his understanding but I was cut off by Anna.
"Mr. Rogers! I'm sure you are aware of Luna's health issues, she can't run that long it'll hurt her," she said coming to my defense.
