Thank you for sticking by me and the story🫶🏽

"W-What?" I said.

Being confronted like this had my head swirling with many thoughts. Saying it was mine was out of the question but I also did not want to expose my best friend.

I hate lying to my family but this is a secret I must keep!

"I asked whose pregnancy tests are these and if you are pregnant?" My dad asked becoming impatient.

"Of course not Dad! These are fake pregnancy tests," I laughed it off as the back of my neck began to sweat from all of their stares.

"Why would you have fake pregnancy tests?" Marcello asked narrowing his eyes as if he was looking for my lies.

"It's to pull a prank on a couple of friends at school, Anna thought it'll be funny, no big deal," I said swiping the tests from the ground and tossing them in my garbage bin.

"You kids and your weird jokes," Mattia said.

"How is pregnancy funny?" Gio said.

"It's probably a new thing," Alessandro said.

"It kind of reminds me of the fake gum kids used to play with back then. It was a pack of regular-looking gum but if you tried to pull a piece out it would zap your finger," he explained.

Having him chime in took the heat off of me and I took the opportunity.

"Okay guys, I'm going to change now," I said pushing them out of the door.

They were too busy discussing the fake gum that when I closed the door they didn't see my sweaty forehead.

I can't believe I escaped I hate lying Anna's going to have to make a decision soon. I was really worried about her but she's yet to answer my calls and texts.

I figured I'd give her a day or two to gather her thoughts and feelings. Not to sound dramatic but having a kid can change your entire life.

Her situation made me consider the possibility of me becoming pregnant. Would I be happy? Excited? Scared? Sad? Probably all of the above.

I never thought about being a mom because the lifestyle I was living was not something a child should endure. Now it's different. I mean my life that is.

Now, the thought of having a baby or two was something I thought would be a wonderful addition to the family.

Of course, not at this time, but one day I'd love to raise a family. In Anna's case, I took it as she's been blessed with a gift a little earlier than others.

One thing for sure is that if Luis does or says anything stupid when he finds out he's going to be a father I will be the first to pop him in the head.

My biggest concern is Anna's father being unable to accept his young daughter being pregnant. I'm sure that is the major reason behind her anxiousness as well.

As her best friend, I feel helpless that I can't do more. However, whenever she needs me I'll be there.

Knock Knock

Breaking me from my thoughts I hear a knock at my door.

"Come in," I say.

The door opened and Tony peeks his head inside smiling at me.

"Hello amore," he said.

My eyes brighten at just the sight of him and I immediately rush to the door opening it wide and snatching him inside.
