Luna Pov

The entire kitchen was silent as Tony and the man named Antonio stared at each other intently.

The look on his family's face was full of complicated feelings. Mrs. Accardo looked as if she would break down and cry any minute. His brothers looked as if they'd seen a ghost and Mr. Accardo's expression was similar to Tony's full of anger.

"Antonio," Tony breathed out in an angry voice.

"Long time no see older brother, oh and I can't forget my lovely parents and little brothers," he said grinning.

His eyes were black as a sinkhole and his smile made every hair on my body stand up. It was odd because, in every physical way, he resembled Tony, yet he seemed extremely unfamiliar.

"Get the hell out of here!" Tony shoved his chest hard pushing him backwards.

"Tony!" Mrs. Accardo leaped from her seat to step between the identical men.

"Step back honey, Tony is right, he should go," Mr. Accardo said not looking Antonio in the eyes.

"Everything is still the same," Antonio said in a mocking tone. He laughed but I could hear the hint of sadness in his voice.

"You are not welcome here," Tony gave him another warning.

The two youngest sons sat quietly at the table watching their older brothers bicker. I've never seen either of them be this obedient.

Why did I not know Tony had another brother? A twin at that. I wondered why I have never seen Antonio's photos around the house or why the relationship was this bad.

I had many questions, but time did not permit me to ask. Right now, my main priority was to calm Tony down before he burned the new family home to the ground.

"Tony, calm down a bit I think,-"

"Oh, so this is the famous Luna Russo everyone is gushing over?" Antonio said taking a closer step toward me.

Tony was in front of me blocking Antonio's way before he could get any closer.

"Step away," he warned.

Antonio threw his hands in the air and shrugged his shoulders.

"I was only going to introduce myself to my dear sister-in-law," he said looking at me and winking.

"I'll cut to the chase," he continued.

"What are you up to now?" Tony asked balling up his fist in anger.

"Dear brother, you know my love for you runs deep. Please don't let that come between us," he said clenching his heart as if it was breaking. He looked at me with a twisted look as if he hated me.

"Antonio! That's enough!" Mrs. Accardo lashed out in frustration. In all the time I've known her I have never seen her this upset. Tears pooled in her eyes as she scolded her son.

"You all know my feelings, and I won't give up easily. Not then, and certainly not now," he said.

The atmosphere seemed to get colder as the minutes went on. I was confused and scared about what might happen next.

"Antonio, you need help, if after all this time you still don't understand I don't know what else to do," Tony said sounding more agitated.

"If I can't have you no one can," he said before turning around and walking away slamming the door behind him.

What was that? I thought as I look around the room trying to check everyone's expressions.

"Let's go," Tony said dragging me out of the kitchen and upstairs to his bedroom.

He pushed me inside slamming the door behind him. He paced back and forth with an expression I could not read.

"Tony," I said his name to get his attention.

He stopped and looked at me before shaking his head and taking a seat on the bed next to me. I grabbed his hands and placed them in mine.

"What's going on? Why didn't you tell me you had a twin brother?" I asked.

"It's complicated," he said staring at his feet.

It's rare to see Tony in this state he seems upset but also sad as if he is dealing with complicated emotions.

"Start from the beginning," I said encouraging him to talk.

"Antonio is my adopted brother," he said.

"But how do you guys look exactly alike? It's uncannily."

"He hasn't always looked exactly like me I mean when we were children we held resemblances to the point others thought we were biological brothers," he said.

"How did you meet him," I asked.

"It was during my second training mission to become the heir of the family business. At the time I was eleven years old and was tasked with killing a low-level criminal who appeared on our territory. During the operation, we found a group of kids being held against their will. From what they told us they were forced to carry out assassinations for the group. Among the children was eleven-year-old Antonio."

"How did he become your brother? What happened to the other children?" I asked full of curiosity.

"The children, including Antonio were quite skilled. My Padre was able to find some of their relatives and if he didn't he offered them a job in our organization. Antonio had no family, thus he took the offer. Soon he became top ranks alongside me. We were inseparable and due to our identical looks we often called ourselves brothers," he said.

"Everything sounded like it was perfect," I said.

"Yeah, and it was until it wasn't. When we turned fourteen my padre and madre decided to adopt Antonio since he practically had become a part of the family. Then I started to notice how clingy Antonio was. A few years later when I started to date or fool around with girls he would threaten them or anyone who wanted to get close with me. He's even hurt a few girls I've been involved with. Do you remember Jared?"

"Oh my god, yes I do," I said.

"When Jared and I became friends Antonio took it very hard. He would constantly start fights with Jared," he said. "The day it all went to hell, and I knew Antonio was messed up beyond repair was when he shot a maid he thought was trying to seduce me," he said.

"Oh my god, did he kill her?" I asked.

"Unfortunately, yes he did," he said.

"Wow. So is he like in love with you?" I asked.

"He's extremely obsessed and delusional. Throughout the years he's done everything possible to ruin my relationships. I've never taken him seriously because I was never serious about anyone, but now that we are together I'm afraid he might try something. No, it's a fact, he will try something," he said.

"Then what do we do?" I asked.

"For now we have to stick together until I find a way to stop him," he said.

The thought of sticking to him like glue did not sound too bad to me.

"Then I'll move here for a while. School is out for winter break and I could use a change of scenery," I said.

"Are you sure?" He asked.

"Of course. I've never stayed over at your place before it will be fun," I said.

"Alright, if you say so," he said.

The fun time I conjured up in my mind was the last thing I should have been thinking about.

On the other side of town was a psycho man plotting to kill me and steal my boyfriend away!
