Chapter 40

Luna Pov

Wow, a boyfriend! Me?! This definitely isn't a dream. I know because I've pinched myself a thousand times since last night.

Buzz Buzz

I roll over in bed checking my phone messages.

Tony - Good morning, mio angelo.

The smile on my face is ear to ear, I've received texted from Tony before, but not as my boyfriend.

Me - Good morning

Tony - Are you coming down for breakfast?

Me - Yes. Give me a minute.

Tony - Okay amore, hurry I miss you.

Me - I miss you too, I'll be quick!

I hoped out of bed rushing to the bathroom to brush my teeth and shower.

I agonize over what to wear, I want to look nice but I don't want to look like I'm trying too hard.

I apply a little make up, foundation, mascara, eyeliner, blush and lip balm, nothing crazy.

I pick a pair of light colored high rise jeans, a beige crop top sweater with buttons on the front, and a pair white sneakers.

I pull my hair into a half up down style with a few loose hairs hanging out in the front.

I checked myself in the mirror twenty times before I finally leave my room.

On the way to the kitchen my heart is thumbing outside of my chest. I was excited to see Tony, but also nervous because my family would be present. Will I be able to keep it cool? I thought.

"Good morning," I greet everyone as I walk into the kitchen.

My eyes instantly spot Tony, he greets me with a smile and I smile back. There's an empty seat next to him and I so want to sit there.

It'll be too awkward, I usually sit right next to my dad, they'll definitely find it weird.

"Good morning dolcezza, did you sleep well?" My dad asked, as he pulled out my usual seat.

"Yes dad, thank you," I said taking a seat while sneaking another glance at Tony.

"Did you enjoy the party last night tesoro?" Marcello asked.

"I did, I had a lot of fun, I'm sure I'll remember it forever," I said thinking of Tony's confession.

I could feel him looking at me from across the table, I so desperately wanted to look too.

"Did you meet any friends?" Mattia asked.

That made me remember the guy I bumped into on my way to the bathroom.

"Ah. Yes, I met someone in the hall when I was searching for the bathroom.

"Oh? What family is she from?" Gio asked.

"He said his name was Cruz something, Luis Cruz, that's right," I said remembering the long haired guy.

"Cruz?! No way you met Luis!" Alessandro shouted.

"That asshole," Andrea said.

"W-what's wrong with him?" I asked confused on why they reacted that way.

"He's a womanizer!" Alessandro said.

"A what?" Now I'm more confused.

"What he means tesoro, is that Luis likes to break the hearts of young women. He's not not a bad guy but he isn't a good one either. Don't get too close with him okay?" Mattia said.
