Luna Pov
Another outing? I was curious and nervous at the same time. Last time we went to the mall it was evacuated I'm sure something like that can't happen all the time though.
I'm open to get to know my family but I can't say that for others.
"I'm ready guys" I say from the top of the stairs.
"So bellissima dolcezza" my dad said as he climbed the stairs to retrieve me.
"Where are we going dad"? I asked trying to pry something out of him.
"Well you know figlia it's surprise I can't say" he said.
"I knew you would say that" I pouted.
"Haha so cute but just you wait it'll be worth it" he said.
Hmph.
Getting in the car I was trying to guess of what the surprise could be but I can't think of anything.
"You'll hurt your head if you keep thinking so hard" Gio said knocking on my head.
"Too late" I said rubbing my head.
"We're here" my dad said.
I peered out of the window to see a small little shop.
"Where are we dad? I asked
"Let's go inside and see" Andrea said opening the door and stepping out.
Wheeling into the shop I was hit with a cold breeze but I couldn't pay attention to the coldness.
My eyes were too busy buzzing around the shop from left to right. My mouth watered and I could feel myself drooling.
"Ice creammm" eeekkk its been so long since I've had ice cream!
"Dolcezza this is my surprise for you this is your ice cream shop" my dad said smiling.
"M-my shop"? I asked pointing to my chest.
"Yes it's all yours it's in your name you have your own little business sorella" Mattia said messing my hair up.
"Thank you a lot but these surprises..are getting bigger and bigger" I said feeling a little burdened by the whole thing.
Do I deserve all of this? I couldn't help but think to myself.
"Do you have a favorite flavor Luna" Marcello asked.
"Chocolate" I answered without hesitation.
"That's my favorite too" my dad said.
I felt happy we had something in common.
The first time I had chocolate ice cream was from Anna of course. On a real hot summer day she snuck over with some.
Flashback
Laying down on the damp wooden floor in the blazing hot attic I felt as if I would pass out from the heat.
Mother is out and she probably won't be back for a while.
Tap tap
I lift up on my elbows trying to hear the sound better the sound was coming from the window.
Small pebbles hit my cracked window instantly I know who it is.
Rushing to the window I see a small blonde girl waving and smiling up at me.
"ANNA" I wave and yell out before rushing down the stairs to open the door before someone sees her.
Anytime those pebbles hit my window it's her way of letting me know it's her.
