Luna Pov

I told them.. I told them everything about what my life has been like since I was a small child up until now.

As much as it feels like a huge burden has been lifted off of my shoulders I feel like there's more to be unfolded about myself and my family.

But first I want to focus on myself! I want to become a better person. Someone who feels worthy of themself and of their family's love. There is so many things I want to know about the world but I'm afraid my past, paranoia and shyness will overcome my curiosity.

I want to become closer with my family they all seem like powerful people. Can I even fit in here? My thoughts were interrupted by a knock on the door.

Knock Knock

"Luna it's me may I come in"? I could hear my nonna asking from behind the door. She sounds so sweet.

"Y-yes" I curse myself for the stutter.

"Good morning piccolo, did you sleep well" she asked placing a pretty pair of clothes on my bed.

"Good morning, yes I did.. thank you" I say back.

"Well today will be my last time picking out your clothes and do you know why"? She asked in a curious tone.

I shook my head.

"It's because you'll be going shopping with the whole family today and you get to choose whateverrrr you want"! She said as she clapped happily and smiled from ear to ear.

Shopping? Whatever I wanted? Oh my gosh!

I think she saw the excitement in my eyes because she hurriedly help me dress while explaining how much fun we'll have. To say I wasn't excited would be a lie but I was also nervous about leaving the house again.

Would everything be okay?

Once again my observant nonna must've noticed my change in mood.

"Don't worry Luna everything is going to be fine you'll have everyone there to protect you no one can hurt you anymore" she said rubbing my hands making me feel better.

I nod.

"Okay" I say as I take one last look in the mirror before she wheeled me out of the room.

"BOYS WE'RE READY GET DOWN HERE" my nonna yelled from the bottom of the stairs. It shocked me that her voice could get so loud. I better make sure to never make her mad.

"You yell at us but we've actually been waiting on you two to get ready this whole time" my nonno said as he made his way down the stairs. Followed behind him was my father, brothers and.. Tony? I haven't seen him since that night he tucked me in.

My eyes focused on Tony the entire time they descended the stairs. When he finally returned my gaze I quickly looked away afraid to make eye contact.

Did he notice me staring? I don't think so I was pretty quick.

"Bambina you look bellissima, how are you feeling"? My father said making all the attention on me.

"I'm fine. Thank you" I said.

"You heard we're going to the mall right? You can shop there for anything you want" Marcello said kneeling down to talk to me.

"I've never been to a mall before or shopping.. so I'm not sure if I'll be any good at it" I said and it's true I've never seen a mall or shopped for new things. Is there a system? I thought.

"All you have to do is point to things that you like or things that catch your eye and we'll get it for you. Easy right"? He said smiling widely.

"That's right we all want to buy you gifts anyway so even if we need ten cars to carry your stuff that's not too much" Mattia chimed in placing his hands on his hips like it's no big deal.
