A week passed and it was Saturday the girls were needy for attention they liked to speak and I just simply listened.

She was oddly busy this week, she was putting in overtime I told her I can help but she said her patients need her.

Baby Adam was very sick this week and she wanted to keep an eye on him. She was becoming attached she mentioned him on every call this week.

She was finally free this Saturday and wanted me to come over for a movie and pizza night.

It was five in the afternoon as I ring the doorbell. I would've used the key but Summer beat me to open the door.

She quickly jumped in my arms and I catches her without dropping the snake bag I was holding. "I'm so happy to see you I missed you," she said planting multiple kisses on my lip.

"I didn't miss you," the little minion said crossing her arms.

Summer wrapped her legs around my waist tighter as I lean both of us down to pick Autumn up. They both hugged me too tight I didn't even know what to do with all the love they were throwing at me.

Holding both of them I walked into the kitchen putting the snack bags down. As I walked to the living room sitting on the couch they still didn't let me go.

We all sat in silence as they held me tight I did the same. They enjoyed hearing their own voice but this was comfort. This was when they acknowledged me in their presence.

I was different I wasn't used to this I didn't usually want this but they took me just the way I was and they never complained. They simply taught me a different way.

A loud buzzing takes Summer's attention as she gets up walking to the small island table. "Autumn it's grandma and grandpa calling you," she said holding up an iPad.

"Yes I'm okay and yes I got the money you guys sent. Thank you Autumn bought a cash register she thinks she's working full time," Summer spoke with a huge smile on her face.

Autumn hopped out my arm following her mom out of the kitchen to upstairs. The chatter got quieter the more they walked away.

Sitting in silence for what felt like ten minutes till I felt a hand around my shoulders. "My parents called they were checking up on me and cupcake," she whispered in my ears.

Moving my eyes to meet hers I turn around letting my eyes follow her walk around the couch to me. She straddles my lap wrapping her arms around my neck.

"What's the deal with your parents?" I asked as she dramatically sighed.

"I love my parents, honestly they made sure I had A nice upbringing and made sure I got into a good college, till River happened," she said, untying my tie.

"How was that like?" I asked wanting to understand her.

"They weren't supportive when I got pregnant, you know? They came around eventually, but then River became abusive it's like they were blindsided by him," she took a deep breath.
