I don't know what it was about the way he walked but it was so attractive. His walk embraced confidence I'm sure woman threw their underwear at him.
As we get seated in the dining room everything is so quiet, even my daughter. His sleeve was pulled up only a little revealing just his wrist.
It gave me a clear view of the tattoo right above the number four three times as if it was set on a clock. I removed my gaze to look elsewhere. But the bracelet caught my eye.
Damn, he had good taste, a real good taste I had the same one he got on. I mean with those thousand-dollar suits he wore I hoped.
I noticed he was eating oatmeal. So fucking basic I mean if that's what he likes then that's cool. I just can't imagine choosing oatmeal over fluffy pancakes.
"Where are you from?" My daughter asked and I couldn't thank God even more. I didn't even know where he was from. The only thing I could place was when he spoke French.
Or maybe he was just fluent in other languages. I got that vibe from him. He seems like the type to remind a teacher about homework.
He stared at me and then moved his eyes to my daughter. "Where do you think I'm from?" He asked her, looking to his right. I sat across the table from both of them.
"Umm, Hollywood," she said, beaming in excitement with her mouth full. He gently used his thumb to wipe off the extra syrup that fell on her chin. It was the softest moment I witnessed.
No, Summer, you won't put your daughter throw that. I don't date and I don't do men with my daughter still young.
I don't ever want my daughter to get too comfortable and used to having a father figure around. All men are the same, they all want the same things.
It's crazy how you think you know someone then the next thing you're pregnant and you thought you had life all figured out. Then you realize you're all alone for almost nine months of your pregnancy.
Nobody saved me when I needed them to, nobody believed me when I said my child's father was abusive. "Just go to church Summer," the line I heard all my pregnancy.
He wasn't bad when Autumn came along he was soft with her but, I know that the more my little girl grew up she would only hear the sound of breaking glass in the middle of the night.
He pushed me down the steps one drunk night all because I lied about where I was. I was in the school library but he didn't believe me. Do you know how hard it was to keep fighting when no one believed in you?
"I'll tell you only a secret you must promise to never tell anyone, only you would know this so it means much for me to choose you with my secret," he whispered looking her dead in the eyes.
A full smile was displayed on her face as if it was better than candy. "I wouldn't do that she going to tell me anyways she is bad at keeping secrets," I said eating my pancakes.
He take a look at me as if he meant what he was about to tell her. "I have a feeling she won't," he said looking at he as she turned to me. "I won't," Autumn said.
"How do you know?" I asked him. "I trust her with my life," those 6 words broke me. Never would I think someone man will come along and say that.
I watch as they stand up from the table and walk only a couple of inches away from me, but they're still in my eyes sight.
As he kneels he uses his hands to cover his mouth and whispers. By the looking on my daughter's face, she quickly jumps in his arm and give him a warm welcome.
Autumn wasn't friendly, she was social and good at making them but that was kids her age. So by the look and her reaction I knew it was a major secret.
"Stop mommy I can't tell you what he said," she never told me those words she lived to tell me everybody's business. I wanted to know more now than ever.

I step out of the room after putting Autumn from a quick nap it's in the afternoon and as much as I hate to admit it Mr.Laurent was far more than interesting.
"I didn't know you were into origami," I said walking into the living room where I never noticed them earlier the house had different colored origami papers displayed.
"I'm not," his words were so harsh. "Then why do you have them," I said with sass matching his attitude. "You wouldn't even believe it if I told you so," his words hold so much disbelief.
I grab a seat next to him on the couch as pick a pillow and place it on my lap. He was legs wear speared open as leaned his neck back on the couch.
I do know why was my body reacting the way it did I had a sudden argument to touch his face his breathing was calm his eyes were closed.
I slowly pace my hand from the far side of his face as my thumb brushed his cheekbones. His bread was completely shaved off revealing his sharp jawline. He keeps his trimmed mustache and chin beard.
He reacted by leaning into my touch as if it was starvation and my touch was going to feed his hunger. His breathing felt familiar. I couldn't place it but it was I know this touch for somewhere.
I quickly removed my hands when he opened his eyes. "Why did you stop?" He asked his tone was the sexiest thing low but deep. "I don't know," I replied but it was the truth.
I was scared and when I was scared I run away from the things I can't understand. "You scared?" He asked if he knew I was.
"No?" I quickly replied as if I had to challenge his words. "Then go back to touching me if you're not scared," his tone was always straightforward as if he knew I would do so.
I placed my hand back onto his face just when his eyes closed again. This was a feeling I wasn't used to feeling.
