"I wanna brown," Cassie screams as she kicks the tray of shots. This was one of her down days and she was going home for a week.
She had Leukemia and was seven. She was putting up one big fight today. "Baby it's just a couple then you can go home," her mom speaks to her she kicks the doctor and runs off.
"Oh my god," Nacy the little girl's mother whispered when an unknown tall figure approached the door holding her.
As he put the little girl down my heart stopped beating, he was here. He came back after four months of disappearing he sure knows how to disappear.
Like the air around him, it vanished as it please and so did Kaz. Cassie sat down all quiet now as if fear took over when she saw him.
"Nancy, Nancy," her husband called for her as she was stoked by Kaz's beauty she cleared he cleared his throat too rough to get her attention again.
"Sorry, his face was captured by the Gods," she said, smiling as she looked at him. He didn't look at anyone in the room but at me.
I only knew this because I took a glance his way. I always felt those eyes were strong and cold. His appearance always shifted the mood of a room as if he had a lack of shadow following him.
"Summer think? Summer, you need to breathe and focus," I tell myself. Fuck he had my hands shaking the tray I was holding was shaking as well due to my hands.
"Why don't I take that out of your hand, Summer," Dr. Gray said as she walked over to me. I take this as an opportunity to walk out but he was by the door.
"Excuse me," my tone was even unrecognizable to being so low and full of fear. To my surprise, he moved out of the way as I jogged out of his sight.
"Slow down little lady," a familiar tone said as I bumped into Joe. "Shit sorry Joe let me help you pick this up," I said picking up a garbage bag as he took my hand.
"It's okay Summer it's my job, you look like you just saw a ghost are you okay," he asked, passing me a Lollipop.
"Yeah, I'm going to be okay now that I got this, thank you, Joe," I said, waving my candy as I walked into the restaurant room.
I quickly took a deep breath as I stepped outside. He was right there leaning against the wall. "Can we talk Summer," he wasn't asking, he was telling me.
He looked so sexy in the black fitted suit with his trench coat. I'm sure it was expensive but his Cologne always did it for me.
His scent was exotic, muscular, and strong. "I can't talk, I'm working," the anger in my tone revealed the anger that was displayed on my face.
I continued to walk and he followed me. I wasn't going to pay a man who treats me like trash any mind. "Hey baby Adam," I said walking into the room and I start to tickle him.
