I noticed he never answers my question if he is so efficient, and I never noticed how easily he can change the conversation about himself back to me.
Now I'm back to square one, these blue eyes held no emotion for his late mother. I couldn't explain it. His tone revealed he can simply have better things to think about than his late mother but those eyes.
Those eyes were always on the ocean surface with him never going deep. His eyes lack remorse or maybe he just didn't do well with cooping.
I'm a nurse and it's crazy how many people react to a loved one's death. Some never speak again, others turn old love to anger, some cry or others feel numb to a reaction.
He went outside to Shovel and checked my car. Dam my car I'm so sure it's going to need some work on it. I hit a tree without realizing it during the storm.
"Do you think he's going to like it?" Cupcake asked me to make a thank you dinner for him knowing that tonight was the last night we were going to stay here.
"I don't know cupcake. I hope," I said, flipping the steak to the other side. This was one of the meals I was planning to make me and Autumn in our cabin but life took a different turn.
After having my favorite helper and I mean taster because all she does is eat the food and say she is tasting to make sure it tastes good. Autumn helps me set the laps in the dining room just as he enters.
"Smells nice in here," he said as me, and Autumn high-fived. "It's a thank you dinner," Autumn beamed as she ran to grab his hands.
I couldn't tell, maybe he didn't like steak. He cuts one small bite and then I see it on his face. I have a five-year-old daughter. Who thinks she could get away with something?
He didn't like the steak one bit. "Don't force yourself to eat it if you don't wanna eat it, you could've just told me it was bad but sitting in front of my face and pretending is something else," I said looking him in the eyes.
"Sorry I've been vegan for thirty-two years and that was my first time eating meat," he informed me as my stomach dropped. Why didn't I ask if he ate meat?
But mostly why didn't he tell me." why didn't you say something?" My tone displays full disappointment on my behalf.
"I don't know why it's that you two seemed excited," he said pointing at me and Autumn. "Okay, that doesn't mean giving up thirty-two of your whole life just to please us."
My words meant nothing to him; he had a smirk on his face. He goes back to eating the baked broccoli. Damm, he set the bar high fuck he was getting to me.
"Did you miss me when I went to take a nap?" Autumn asked him as somehow I started to laugh as if I knew the words coming out of his mouth.
"Didn't even think about you once," he said back as she started to giggle. "Good I have that effect on people where they miss me so much I don't want that to happen to you," she said, eating off the steak that he never touched again.
"It's affect, that is mostly used as an action which you just explained," he said as she started to repeat after him. This was so cute...
No Summer this was normal. This man is normal, don't give him much thought. Simply don't give him much power in your mind even if he looks sexy.

"Don't shoot," I tease when y'all figure approaches the dark kitchen. He moved easily. I never really heard his footsteps; it was just a warmth I had around him.
"Damn, just when I was starting to think about it," he joked. I only took this by his tone which didn't sound serious. He wasn't lying, he was bad at making jokes.
"Don't judge me, yes I'm eating chocolate ice cream in the middle of the night," I said, scooping another layer from the box.
The only light that was provided was the fridge light that I left open. He finally appears from the dark as he walks and stands next to me.
I can see blue eyes on my body watching my every move. The tattoo brought out a déjà vu feeling. I couldn't quite place it but breathing I think I had a feeling.
He was shirtless. I couldn't see much but I wanted to. Who was I lying to? I came downstairs in the middle of the night hoping to find him.
